Visited morning Tuesday 10th October.
Lovely, clean dining area. Nice outdoor area too. Fantastic selection of cakes! Quick service. The staff on that morning were super friendly. Very competitive prices. Easy parking. I believe they do a loyalty card too. Will definitely be revisiting.
We stopped for breakfast and the service was great. The food was delicious we had a small breakfast and a sausage cob with a pot of tea. We'll definitely be back for a cake as they looked amazing!
I visited today for my grandparents 70th birthday and there was 8 of us and had afternoon tea and got to say it was lovely and definitely would come back it was my first time coming to glapwell tea rooms
Very poor.food greasy ,cold ,
Been a few time s but the cook food not up to satisfactory. When replaced all they did was used the same food making out it was freshly cook
Had a lovely afternoon at the tea room today we went to celebrate two special 70th birthdays with afternoon tea for 9 of us. It was delicious and definitely value for money, I will be back again for this some time soon. Staff lovely and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.
17/03/24 - attended to get afternoon tea for 2 (£24.50) the restaurant was extremely busy, tables were full of pots, not enough staff, one young lady was waiting on and was doing a good job but was overwhelmed.
Tea stand (bottom plate) - 4 quarter sandwiches each consisting of tuna & sweetcorn, philadelphia cheese spread with cucumber, processed ham & egg.
(Middle plate) - crisps & salad.
(Top plate) - 2 scones with cream & 1 strawberry cut in half.
The food was nice but not enough for 2, compared to afternoon teas we have had at other venue's there have been more sandwiches, savouries & selection of cakes.
We have visited The Bothy restaurant many times for food and been highly delighted with the quality, service & selection of food, cakes etc, the staff are friendly & helpful, but will not be having afternoon tea again, some competitors offer better afternoon teas.
This place is shocking.The worst afternoon tea we have ever had. The coffee and tea are refillable and you have to stand and wait to get it filled.2 had afternoon tea and1 had sausage mash and peas with gravy. It wasn't gravy it was water and the peas were floating on top.The potatoes were Cadburys smash . The scones had no jam on them,and the cream was squirty instead of clotted.One of the sandwiches was made with the crust of the loaf. Went to try this place out to take some Norwegian friends in May. So disappointed we will be taking them somewhere else for real afternoon tea.
First visit but not our last!
We both had the ham, egg, and chips.
Absolutely delicious!
Fast, friendly service, even though the place was packed.
Can't wait to visit again. Definitely worth driving the few miles out of Mansfield.
