Excellent fish and chips! Great service too.
Even though I turned up 15 minutes before closing time, they fried a fresh cod for me and were super friendly.
The fish was superb, fresh, tender, tasty and not greasy, and the chips were great too. I'll be back!
I visit this chip shop often as it's close to where I live. The food and portion sizes are very good. The service and atmosphere are always very warm and friendly.
I would definitely recommend this place.
Gotta love your local chip shop, love their fish and chips are nice. Service us generally quick and always served with a nice smile and casual chats to see how you are doing is nice. Now if they could add chicken breast fillet burgers to their menu then we would give them a 5! That said, very good place to come and eat or take awaym
Always buy takeaway from here every now and then. Staff are extremely friendly, nice and very efficient. Food is good,place is nice and clean, and overall it's not bad value despite the recent price hikes. I'll be back.
Bought chips and a savaloy from here after school for my daughter - only a handful of the chips I paid for were decent and edible, the rest were stale and hard.
Upon calling the shop to complain, the guy I spoke to insisted the chips were fresh (he was quite rude actually) when what I had just paid for is far from fresh food! More like left over chips from lunch time. For the price charged, food should be fresh all the time! I was already home and had picked out the 'good' chips for my daughter so due to this an exchange or refund was not possible.
Poor service. Will not be returning to George's.
Fantastic chips and love the kebabs and curry sauce. Often treat myself to a savaloy or battered sausage too. Only thing it could improve is the cash only aspect. Card payments would go a long way but at least there is a ATM outside.
