It's absolutely brilliant . My car broke down, and the garage I normally use wouldn't let the RAC drop it off to repair at a later date as they were busy . So I rang Palmers and explained what had happened and they were only too happy to help and now my car is 100% back on the road . Thank you ever so much for all you sorted for me to get my car back up and running . Will definitely use this garage again in the future ☺️
Ive always felt that Ive had good service from this garage, they are not local to me anymore so it needs planning to get vehicle there and get home, but its been worth it usually, but not today. I booked car in a week ago after lights failed nearly causing an accident as i lost all power, incl power steering/lights/dash etc. Despite several iterations of electrics needing checking properly, they confirmed they'd just changed the bulbs. Im a capable woman, I COULD HAVE DONE THAT. I felt the (little) mechanic couldnt be arsed with me this morning when i dropped it off, and when i said (again) the electrics need checking as altho sidelights are now working, something isnt right to cause a nearly catastrophic accident a week ago, his reply 'well if it in't doing it now, theres nowt to check'
I went back home worried my concerns were being dismissed and decided to ring in again to speak to someone else as he clearly wasnt bothered, the (taller) mechanic said he'd changed the bulbs and it was fine. I reiterated the reason why i'd asked for a more thorough check on the electrics, to which i got a reply, 'i'll run it about, when i have time'.....again. I COULD HAVE DONE THAT. By this time i was really having to stress my concerns, ....should it be this hard? Although he did finally say he'd run it through the ECU when he had time, my faith was lost by now, i dont need to hear 'i'll do x when ive got a minute', i asked for a service a week ago, and had to do without my vehicle for a week (not that i expect them to drop everything), but i'd rather they be honest and say we are not electrical mechanics so you need someone else or listen to me and be prepared to do the job! Ive lost trust and wont be back, shame. But i feel that people need to know what they might get. One final point, they tried to tell me both bulbs had just gone at once, unlikely! In 45 yrs of motoring ive never had that happen, and why would i lose power steering/dash lights etc. Im not accepting just 2 new bulbs in place of a more thorough investigation, i'll be going elsewhere, where Im listened to.
Great garage, friendly staff, always helpful and realistic with timeframes if busy but usually get the work done in decent time. Cannot fault them and would not go anywhere else.
First time using George Palmer had new clutch fitted to wife's car first class job over the moon will definitely be using from now on

Great little local family run garage. Sensible hourly rates and very competent staff. My family been customers for over 40 years, so that says something.
Booked me in straightaway and sorted my issue within the hour - staff were friendly and was cheaper than other quotes. Defo recommend
