Absolutely the best Sandwich and pie shop in Lancashire. Mrs Gent is a very sweet and attractive lady who makes fantastic meat and potato pies.
A delightful old fashioned independent family Bakery. Home made pies, cakes, bread. The sandwiches they make are generously filled and everything is reasonably priced. The lady serving was very pleasant and polite. The smell as you go in is amazing!.
Visiting from Raleigh, NC. Originally from Pepper Lane. Pies are as good now as they were 40 years ago. Meat pie/butter potato are to die for.
By far the best pie shop in Wigan, the steak pies especially are definitely a must eat for new customers, and the potato & butter pies also are just as delicious. It’s ran by a lovely little old lady who always greets us with a very warm welcome

I have been going to this bakery since I started high school, I have now moved from the area and do love to pop in for the best sandwich ham and branston pickle and it has never changed over the years! Exactly the same. Still the nicest sandwiches and the nicest ladies the cakes are good to.
