Had medium chips with battered cod, small battered sausage to try as well with a curry sauce really was nice yummy the only thing I would say the curry is a bit watery flavoured well just not as thick as others still went down a treat though
Walked into the restaurant as son was cold. Opted for the 2 sausage and chips @ £6, thinking we would get a few chips and sausages on our plate. Was shocked at the amount we were served, chips were served in a metal server, with the sausages on top. It had a salad garnish and also mushy peas in a small bucket server. We'll definitely be back on a beach trip
Located by the entry to the South Beach promenade, I visited The Galley during lockdown restrictions when only takeaway service was available.
Luckily there is plenty of outdoor bench seating adjacent, with views out to the North Sea.
My sausage and chips was quickly served and was a decent quality for the price.
I shall be happy to visit again.
Great service during a busy sunday lunchtime. Light, crispy battered haddock and chip-shop chips with mushy peas and tartar sauce. Not greasy at all. Fresh and well cooked. Very dog friendly too with great sea views.
Was served by a lovely guy with pink hair, had sausage and chips which was a bit of me. Will be coming back any chance I can get x
Absolutely appalling service! Manager very rude.. when having a private conversation with my friend about the cleanliness of the place I was personally insulted and told I looked dirty!!! which clearly then caused a altercation between us! When i had not directed anything towards to the manager.. it was my opinion of the business... as a manager clearly can not take negative criticism... Then we was refused service and our money was slammed down on the side! Which I did not mind as we got better service at the next chippy... avoid at all cost...
The worst, not tasteful and grouse fish and chips I have ever eat! Not trying to do negative publicity, just try to warn others to not spend their money, and drop the food to the bin.
Personally not recommend.
Brilliant fish and chips for myself and my wife. This coming from someone who’s spoilt by fresh fish ! Lovely batter, good size and very reasonable prices too. We’ll be back !!
