In my 36 years as a car owner, my experience of dealing with George at GR Autos is the best customer service I've received. From first contacting him on the phone, I felt reassured that my problem would be carefully assessed & confident that the fault would be fixed at a cost far less than the ridiculous estimated prices given by dealerships. My experience bringing the car in to George at his workshop exceeded the expectations. He diagnosed the problem quickly, explained it to me infomatively & fixed it quickly. The problem was not what a dealership had assessed it as & advised a price of £500 to change a part that didn't need it. I cannot thank George enough, wholly recommend his business & would recommend a second opinion on dealership quotes. GR Autos you've gained a customer for life.
Communicate any problems really well. Always happy with the quality of the work done. Very easy to get booked in.
Used this garage for getting on for 30 years. That should tell you everything you need to know. But if you want more. I have lost count of the number of times they have fit me in at short notice because my car has let me down and I need it. All the mechanics are good but the owner George is like a guru on cars and has forgotton more than most mechanics know. He has a wicked sense of humour as well.
All work has a year's warrenty and they honour that - my clutch cable went again after 11 months and they changed it for free and I didn't even ask. I have found them to be honest which you need when you have to rely on a mechanic.
Another aspect is my wife and daughters love is the way they never condescend to woman.
Can only echo the other reviews regarding customer service - a really good, helpful and friendly garage. I will be making it my go-to garage from now one and would be happy to recommend it to anyone.
Took my mother-in-laws car for an mot and it failed on something I could fix, so I did and they put it through a re-test and passed.
The service from the lady who runs the office was excellent [good enough to make me bother to give a review!]

Brilliant privately owned garage, very friendly staff, especially George & Henry. You get a very honest customer service and a truthful account about your cars mechanical issues. A refreshing change from other garages. 5*
Very help full staff.
They do a very thourgh inspection of your car without charging the moon for it.
And leave it up to you if replacement is required.
Not pushy at all.
They also source spares other than just the OEM Manufacturer or second hand.
And give there honest opinion if somethings needs changing or not.
No bull and honesty is hard to come by.
