I had a MOT and gearbox seal scheduled for Monday. (I said I wasn't in a hurry, I needed the car on Friday) The car wasn't even touched that day. I came back on Wednesday, still in the same place. when I asked when the car would be ready, I heard that they were waiting for the part - ok. But the MOT should be done. I picked up the car on Thursday after a very unpleasant conversation, probably with the owner, of course nothing was done and there was a white scratch on the passenger door. Thank you very much
Have used GP Motors for many years for personal and business vehicles and have never been let down. Always found an excellent, honest approach and willingness to bend over backwards to help.
Best garage around. Always do the job and never had to go back because of this or that that they didn’t do right.
These guys sure do know how to look after your vehicle. They check and make sure your car is safe to drive, everything is in good working order and if something extra needs doing they will call to let you know. Receptionist is lovely, helpful and good customer service. I've taken my car to this Garge over the past 12 years and always, always had brilliant service and fantastic mechanics.
Had taken my pride and joy to this garage for a simple MOT only to return to collect the vehicle to find a piece missing from the front splitter. This was the first thing I raised to the receptionist. Didn't seem too surprised by this but walked straight outside to find the mechanic who worked on the vehicle.
He was instantly defensive about it and very quickly became verbally agressive. Discussed all the possibilities of how it could have happened to which none of the scenarios were possiblities albeit there being a 3 inch concrete stump in the middle of the driveway leading into the compound.
Checked the CCTV but this was inconclusive as the resolution wasnt good enough to see the location of the stump. In hindsight we only checked one point in time on the camera when the vehicle was driven up the drive into the garage. He said he had taken the vehicle down the road to reset the ABS sensor. So we never saw the first time he drove the vehicle up the drive.
As the vehicle has been lowered coupled with the splitter, it is very much a possible outcome as to how this happened.
He at one point offered to pay for the damage but then quickly rescinded the offer. A clean honest conscience wouldn't offer to pay to repair something they didn't damage.
To conclude, this guy knows what he has done and has looked me in the eye and lied. If you value honesty and trust, I cant recommend this garage.
Used GP motors for many years for all our vehicles, personal and business. I’m confident in the whole team from the office staff to the mechanic. Never ever had an issue with anything, any problems I’ve had with my car and vans have been repaired and resolved quickly and professionally. I wouldn’t use anyone else for any work including MOTs.
The team are very thorough, I’m confident my vehicles are in the safest hands. I’ve never met a more honest and reliable mechanic. Would recommend highly to anyone that values their cars and their safety, to come here ????
These guys were recommended to me by a friend and I've been using this garage since. Family business. Great guys, always very helpful and polite. All and any work carried out, just ask and they'll do it. Parts sourced and very good prices. Highly recommended.
First time using the garage, and I’m very impressed. Customer service is fantastic, lovely lady called Paula on the desk was very polite and friendly, made me feel very welcome. Phone call was made 9:35am, I was at the garage getting seen to for 10:35am.
Gaz the mechanic looked at my vehicle which was making a horrific knocking noise, inspected and diagnosed my car with the issue, the solution and further advice on any following related problems such they occur. Very honest, skilled and trustworthy. Expecting to be hit with hundreds of pound bill, I walked away with just a small charge for oil.
After working in numerous garages myself, you appreciate an honest, trustworthy garage who know what they are doing. Thank you so much, very grateful !
