My experience has been really positive recently. I feel confident that my 2 young girls are getting the care that they need when they are poorly and everyone at the surgery has been so kind and understanding. I have doubted this practice in the past but have been so impressed lately. ????
A noticeable improvement recently, great to see. Reception team are much easier to talk to and helpful about arranging appointments. Medical team are friendly, listen kindly and quick to offer any tests they feel necessary. I feel much better cared for than at any time over the previous 5 years where I have been a patient here.
Have had nothing but issues with this practice. You phone at bang on opening time and still cannot get through and when you finally do get through you get told all the appointments for the day are gone and aren’t allowed to make a future appointment anymore. Family members have had the same issues and have actually been left without a doctor due to lack of compassion and communication amongst the practice. Utter disgrace.
Great surgery but let down massively by the gestapo on reception.
Called to speak to doctor after deterioration of mental health and was told couldn’t talk to anyone and would need to register elsewhere as a temp resident as wasn’t at home at moment nor could the issue a line to me which I’d also need to go elsewhere for. So by getting out of the home to aid my health I’m punished and must return so I can be seen or spoken to further. When at a point of crisis the staff on reception feel adding to this is best course of action. Hard enough making that call but to now do this to another surgery with GPS I don’t know makes it even harder.
I’m saddened to see the practice’s upcoming change to being run by the health board but I want to send my sincerest thank yous to Dr Craig and Dr Stephen for being so brilliant when I was registered with the practice for over five years. Their compassion and kindness have left a lasting, positive, impression on my opinion of healthcare within NHS Scotland as an American who moved to Scotland some years ago. I’ll not soon forget your help in so many, many ways.

This practice is diabolical. Firstly, its impossible to book an "appointment" which is not even an appointment but a call back! Who ever answers the booking line is rude, unprofessional and utterly disinterested in helping. I had been calling 3 days in a row 8am as advised, every time its "no call back slots available" she also asks what is this for, and decides if its worth giving a call back or not. Today she snapped at me that this is not an emergency so call next week. This is an emergency to me! And anyway, emergency line is 999 or 111 or whatever. I wasn't calling them to get that answer. Absolutely infuriating. Useless place.
Getting an appointment is impossible, and you have to know how the system works..ie ring at 8am, wait and keep trying, and trying, the system seems to only accept 10 calls at a time, so can be a long wait...and alway remember don't get frustrated or ask questions as this is usually responded with negativity...its taken me a while to work out what and when to call, or how repeat prescriptions work or how and when to get test results as there doesn't appear to be writing rules, and if you ask..its as I've you should know, which just gets me more upset.. doctors and nurses are brilliant, professional, helpful and courteous.... I wish I didn't have to call, as I now dread the experience...
Very pleased every time i go .
Have been seeing Dr Stephen now on a regular basis since i lost my dear wife Helen 2yrs past January .
I cant fault the Medical Centre none what so ever .
All the Drs i have seen in the past i cant fault since i was first registered with the Practice in November 1988 .
