I ordered the peri peri half grilled chicken. Extremely fresh and tasty, delicious and moist chicken and the home made peri peri sauce was exceptional. Very reasonably priced and clean for a fast food outlet. Extremely engaging owner who greets and speaks to all his customers who entered during the time I was dining there. Highly recommended.
If I could give less than one Star I will definitely do it . I'm a regular customer from this place near Clapham South station. Today my wife when to buy a whole chicken as usual. She made the order and during the time the guy was cooking the whole chicken on the grill he was doing some cut around the 2 piece . However we did not imagine that he wanted to take one portion from the breast to keep it and when she arrived home she saw the 2 pieces with A very big hole in the middle. I don't know why they tried to do this to a customer. They received a salary, maybe they received one or two meal depending on this shift but why he had to remove one piece from our food. I always buy the same chicken and never have this problem. So when I was back home my wife told me the situation and a I went to speak with the guy who did it and his reaction as soon as he saw me and my wife it was of scare about what he had done. He gave us basically only the bones with garlic sauce. I told him that I wanted to make a formal complaint and speak with the manager but now is almost 1:00am so I will do it tomorrow because is not fair you pay for food and they take your food first.
Ever since this shop has parted ways with being a franchise of chicken cottage the quality of the food has had a steady decline.
The start of this new shop "Funky Fry" was initially a great shop however it's become clear that they are now using cheaper ingredients to cut costs and do not make their food to a high standard anymore.
The fries I had from here recently and previously tasted disgusting and nothing like a regular portion of fries, no idea how many times they reused the same oil but the chips actually stank. The wings taste awful alongside their bbq wings which I now avoid too whereas before they were a personal favourite. The only semi decent thing now is the burger and this is sometimes dry too. Overall disappointing, not sure why there are so many positive comments on this store as it has genuinely become a terrible restaurant and I order elsewhere now.
The best Grilled chicked and lovely service
I only had £1.70 and Bossman gave me 4 wings for that price out of kindness. And the wings were amazing it made me go buy again with money that was for something else
I've always gone here on a Thursday and got at least a funky box meal. Food is always fresh, staff is very happy and the price is spot on the mark.
Very friendly place! The food is cooked fresh to order and the staff are so friendly! They also play amazing music! ???? The food is hot and delicious!
I always come here coming back from work around 10:30pm and the staff there (especially the girl) is really good!
The food is always 10/10 and fresh.
