Best KPortal Reviews

Lovely little bar/cafe. Friendly welcome and full of gorgeous dogs and owners. Limited menu but was fine for us. We had toasted sandwiches which came with a few crisps and homemade coleslaw. Nice outside searing area.
Friendly service, the owner, Rosie, makes everyone welcome. Always someone to talk with . Dog friendly with treats and water for your pooch.
Good value. I usually drop by twice each week.
Rose the owner such a lovely lady ,made my dog and wife lol so comfortable.
Love going here for a coffee and chat .
When we move house this is where I would go ,lovely
Very nice hot chocolate, lovely apple and cinnamon cake and ginger cake. Nice chat with the very friendly staff. Much better than a number of the options in Frinton!
This is a really friendly, dog friendly cafe. Simple food, done well. Vegan/veggie options
Dog friendly which is especially good news on a cold afternoon.
Lady owner very friendly in contrast to the bloke behind the counter who had all the charisma of a traffic warden.
Food was ok, not great, had worse. Could do with a bit more imagination on the presentation side.
Decor tired - a bit of investment, generally, wouldn't go amiss but, that said, a place to spend a relaxed hour or so with friends as well as man's best friend.
Said they cater to vegans, and have a whole section on their menu boards with quite a few options, but they only had 2 of them actually in stock. Long story short, we ended up paying £5.80 for peanut butter sandwiches on cheap white bread!
The owners didn't wear masks, even when wondering around the cafe (which they did frequently) and the table wasn't even cleaned until after we got our sandwiches, and on top of all of that, it's cash only!
Reminder: this is during a tier 2 pandemic ????‍♀️
Worst service ever received - no wonder hardly anyone there! Only just walked in and was greeted by a surly “What can I get you?” While ordering from the blackboard (no menus) my husband chose a beetroot, grape & cranberry ciabatta to which the reply was a sneer and “Erm not my cup of tea” - while an unusual combo, it was on their menu so a strange reaction. Drinks arrived quickly although no ice in the soft drink. My toasted sandwich arrived first - well I say arrived, it was slid across the table to me with a grunt that the other sandwich would be 2 minutes. Basic garnish of crisps - sandwiches themselves were acceptable hence the one star. All in all not a particularly pleasant experience. Give the place a good clean (cobwebs everywhere!) and be courteous & friendly to your customers and you could be packed out! Nice quirky feel with the mismatched furniture and the front of the bar/cafe looks inviting. Just like the spiders lurking in the cobwebs, we were enticed in under false pretences!!
