Went for an unexpected sit down meal. Wow, perfect food. I had to add more salt to my food (nothing new there) but I would rather add my own salt.
Perfect size portions. Good service and very friendly. We didn't realise that you had to take your own alcohol, but it's fine there is an off-licence a couple of shops down, it just makes the meal even cheaper as we paid £6.99 for a bottle of wine rather than £15-20. So win win. £50 for a meal for two, including starters, poppadoms,sides and a tip ????
This was the worst curry of my life. I am 58 and have dined around the world however,honestly, this place is dreadful.
Any good reviews must have been paid for.

Only good thing was the waiter. I gave him two tips. One was a £5 note. The other was to get a job somewhere else!
Waited 1hr 20mins for food, it arrived cold and greasy. Absolutely no flavour to the food, everything bland and very little spice, Bombay potatoes and aloo sag soggy and mushy and watery, even the rice was awful, I couldn’t even rip the Nan bread apart it was that tough. everything went into the bin, complete waste of money… never again will I order from this restaurant. I had to give a 1 star rating in order to post my comments otherwise it would have been 0 stars
I had the most delicious curry that I have had in many years. I will definitely be using the New Fort Raj from now on, I usually find chicken to have a funny texture and taste in other restaurants but here the chicken was cooked absolutely perfect, the flavours of the sauce were just incredible. I ordered the chilli garlic tandoori chicken and it was absolutely divine . I also really appreciated the complimentary side of fresh salad. I enjoyed this meal so much that I had to call the restaurant back up to offer my compliments to the chef. Absolutely fabulous. I am very fussy and hard to please when it comes to food and I enjoyed the meal from this restaurant thoroughly. Highly recommend.
Food was nice but coke was flat and clearly been hanging around for days! Service was rushed, we had not finished poppadum's as taken away when main course arrived. One of the waiters was quite polite but the other was arrogant!
Toilet seat broken, tap loose on sink. Hand rail on staircase was loose. Felt the place needed a good makeover. Not the best eating experience I've had!

Waited 80minutes only to get food that was cold, and completely crumpled and crushed. Sauced everywhere. They blamed the deliver driver, as if that explains why the food took 80 minutes and was cold… awful customer service
Excellent food but was shocked to
find out the restaurant has a zero hygiene score !!! Will avoid big time because of this unfortunately!!
Not impressed.
Ordered £28 worth of food for myself and my partner. He went to collect it and came back with two of the food items missing. We rang and explained that we do not have time to travel back to get the missing food and asked if they could bring it and they said yes it will be 15 minutes. 40 minutes later I'm still sat there waiting for the remainder of my meal. My partner rang and told them not to bother bringing the rest of the stuff as the food we did have was stone cold by this point. The food was average, nothing special. They only refunded us for the missing food, nothing extra as a courtesy.
First and last time I'll ever order from this place.
