Poor taste - all prices increased but the standards are decreased.. Sesame prawn toast over £5 yet one only gets one small slice in strips - not enough for 2 as usual from other Chinese restaurants!! Chicken chow mein dry, dry, dry & unedible & the salt/pepper chips had no sign of peppers, onion or carrot like we'd usually get at other take away & far too dry.. the chicken curry was the best dish but swimming in grease & Why was there an orange in the bag?? Strange.. We did collect the menu for future visits but my partner tore it up when he saw the meagre serving of sesame prawn toast & the chips.

Good take away really enjoyed it but the shop could do with updating as it looks very old. The good is very good though.
Had a take-out last Friday, dreadful. Salt & pepper chicken had NO peppers in, however they had put carrot strips in to try fool us and it was just like eating a block of salt. The sweet and sour, normally a bright red colour sauce was grey - yes grey. Noodles were oily and the onions burnt. Surely you can't go wrong with chicken fried rice I though - WRONG... Clumps of rice over cooked and dry over cooked chicken. Spent over £40 and threw most of the food in the bin. Absolutely dreadful - avoid at all costs I would say. I've only rated this with 1 star because I could not post the review if not. I would say NO STARS is about right!
Has to be one of the worst takeaways I've been to. The food was tasteless. I'd give it a minus star if I could!

I've been using the Fochabers Chinese takeaway for years friendly service and good food at a a cheap price when I lived in Elgin I used to drive 10 miles to to Fochabers to get the Chinese takeaway that gives you some idea how high I rate them I'm not saying the Dare is not some good Chinese takeaways around Elgin but all in all the Fochabers Chinese takeaway is the best
Food was tasteless, flies in prawn crackers,very greasy very poor
Quick service and tasty fresh food. Good value for money. The take aways Covid precautions are good.
