Very tasty fish and chips! Will definitely be returning. Though quite crowded in the shop itself, there is a dry area at the side of the holding to wait for space inside. Also, make sure to take note that some items are requested to be ordered as soon as you enter, there is a note behind the counter.
Fast service and a friendly manner.
First time using this place and sad to say we won’t be returning. Elderly lady serving was rude, wrapped fish and chips as soon as she took order despite needing to wait for other items to be cooked which we was told would be 10 minutes. So fish and chips sat waiting on counter. Gentleman who was cooking told her not to wrap up yet and she snapped back at him rudely and carried on regardless. She seemed very disorganised. Food wasnt as good as expected. Chips cold and dry. Young girl working was lovely and I’m sure she could manage the orders by herself without the confusion caused by the rude elderly lady.
As good as usual, and I was amazed that there wasn't a queue for a change, as this place is so popular!
£11.20 for large cod and chips. I'm sure that the price has now doubled in the 9 years that I've been coming here. But I think that this is everywhere. Brexit eh ????
Still the best fish and chip shop in the area. The large cod here is excellent and they do real British chips. We also had mushy peas, but they have a bunch of other options.
If you want take-away fish and chips, this place is worth a try.
Super Friday night dinner while travelling through Bedford . Lightly battered haddock and small portion of freshly cooked chips . Staff where nice and friendly . The queue outside said it all ????
Always loved the food from here, it's been a great chip shop for years
Very good fish and chips, absolutely delicious haddock. The service could use a bit of work though, I came in and had to stand around for five minutes before ordering even though there was no orders being taken at the till, when I was asked to order I was told my order would take about seven minutes to cook. So I did a bit of extended standing around. It was worth the wait though, very good.
Always busy because the food is delicious. The covered walkway area is ideal for the queues that form. Prices have risen but these increases have been outside of their control. Still fantastic food and value, given the flavour.
