Great little chip shop with friendly service, good food and extremely reasonable prices. We've recently moved nearby from Ashford and the difference in price here was a very welcome surprise. We will definitely be using Flippers from now on.
I work all over the country and really enjoy a good British fish and chips shop.. I come across Flippers in Hythe as I was visiting friends..
I was kindly meet by a beautiful young lady and owner (both owners I think) really really genuine people kind and welcoming...
I only ordered fish unfortunately, but this was handled correctly and cooked fresh to order!.. 5-10 min waiting time as I kindly appreciated.
Fish was fresh local haddock cooked perfect with not a drop of grease in my box

Absolute rip off. Over charged me, then when I got back with the food the savaloys were cold the chips were mainly crackling and the pie and chips which were £7 had only a handful of chips in it. So annoyed I've left a review which is something I never do.
I met the owner of a walk and he was really nice. We chatted for a few minutes and he told us he had a fish and chips shop, so we decided to try it out and were not disappointed. Me and my family bought a chicken and mushroom pie, two small cod and chips and one medium cod and chips. In our small fish and chips, we received medium chips, for the price of small ones. The chips were extremely good value for their quality AND quantity and the cods were really juicy. And all of that for the price of £25! Definitely a local hidden gem!!!!!
My mums local chippy, had many a dinner from flippers. Good quality food. Sometimes I want the fish cooked a lil bit longer, but that would be my only quarm.
The owner is a gent. I love the way he deals with negative google reviews, absolute comedy gold.
Mr flipper is on smoke do not test this man with any daft reviews.
Absolutely lovely place, we’ve been a few times when in the area, welcoming & friendly owners/staff. There were 7 of us to order for (was below £45!) nice filling portions, We couldn’t fault a thing. Delicious dinner - thank you!
Ordered 3 portions of fish & chip from here on Saturday and got to be brutally honest was the worst I’ve ever had. Chips were hard and fairly small but the thing I was most shocked with , was the portion size. Once we got home it looked like a child’s size. And no we are not greedy but genuinely for a large cod & chips was shocked. Dread to think what the sml or medium size looks like. Will definitely not be going back here.
