Excellent, well stocked village shop and post office. Can order bread from a local baker and meat from Bishops the butcher through the shop so extremely convenient.

Great old style village post office / shop with almost everything you can think off in stock. Lots of locally produced items and a great atmosphere. Use it now before these places disappear for good.
I love this Post Office and shop! I go out of my way to visit this particular shop as the staff are always so lovely and it's such a nice and helpful place. They are always so patient with my many parcels, I look forward to my weekly post office runs since I found this little shop!
I can only speak from my experience over the last 4 months about the service at this local post office. I use them regularly, they offer a good range of products, great for Amazon deliveries and all you would expect Special deliveries etc. I have read a couple of rants and I'm perplexed as the service is first rate and the are open on Sundays - absolutely fantastic!

The staff here have been exemplary during 2020 providing locals with access to groceries (and other stuff) and PO services throughout the pandemic whilst keeping people safe and supporting those who are self isolating. It’s been very hard work for them I’m sure and it warrants our support in turn.
Once again the staff at this branch are unaware of what products and services they can accept. On Tuesday 20th Nov I requested if they could book in a Royal Mail Tracked Item (label attached to small package) '' NO she said you have to go to the sorting office'' Off I went (Uckfield)and they said ''NO! we cannot accept that here its PO only''. A quick email to Post Office Ltd Complaints stated this ''I confirm that Five Ashes Post Office, East Sussex can accept Royal Mail Tracked Return items'' I much prefer Maresfield who are so much more engaging and friendly oh and incidentally did accept my package
