Straight up 5 stars ???? ???? ???? ???? ????..
Never been here before, didn't know the area, or have a scooby doo whether I'd entered a little town or something from Shaun of the dead with all the freaky plant pots in the area..
Well finding this chippy was excellent value for money. Never heard of a Yorkshire fish cake and the staff made two fresh for me and my friend (who's from here but didn't know what one was), Staff were friendly warm and welcoming and had a great laugh with banter. The prices were fair and about right.
Chip portion size was a little on the small size in comparison to other areas been to, but that isn't a bad thing as the Yorkshire fish cake made up the rest of the filling..
If your an outsider like myself, best time to go is after 5pm. That way you don't need to figure out the odd worded parking restriction of DISC ZONE..
What is a disc zone???
Overall great staff, great food, great value for money ???? and clean and tidy...
Avoid at all costs! Fish quality is poor, dripping with oil - to top it all off, the service was as if ‘I don’t care’ :-(
I don’t mind sitting outside on public benches had it been quality food. Their food and hygiene rating is somehow 5 - but that’s the only good thing about this place.
Hands down the best chips I've ever had in a chippy. Stopped here for a quick lunch and ordered chips and battered sausage.

The best place for food in settle for the wonderfully bright friendly caring and kind staff, the gorgeous food always hot and at reasonable prices. I’ve been coming for years and happy to travel from over an hour to come here it’s absolutely worth it. Never ever had an average meal or service here. Thank you for being one of the best things about visiting settle.
I'm from a seaside town with 7 chips shops and this one beats them all. I normally regret buying sausage and chips but these guys know how to cook them properly. The Scrabster on the side were a nice little touch too. Finally and chip shop that knows how to cook chips. I will be back!

10/10 The fish and chips were perfect! The staff were extremely well mannered, polite and welcoming. Highly recommended and will 100% be visiting again.
