It took a while for our food to be ready but he did apologise and I thought that the fish was very nice. Would visit again.
Lady behind the counter was very pleasant and her customer service was brilliant, the food itself as in the fish and chips had a horrible, acrid taste to them!
Unfortunately, within an hour of eating, our stomachs were doing somersaults.....
The fish itself was practically all batter and other than the acrid taste, tasted of nothing else. The chicken burger on the other hand got the thumbs up from the kids, it seems anything fried in the oil was what let it down.
Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this chippy and would definitely not have food from here again.
Love this place. Food is really tasty and good value. It does take a little longer to get your food but absolutely everything is cooked fresh to order. Staff are very polite and friendly.
Just had fish and chips,curry sauce and the no.3 signature burger for £16.80. You get a single layer of chips in the box and a 7inch piece of fish (3inch wide at it’s thickest). It was lovely and fresh but a complete rip off for the price. The burger was nice but only had one single onion ring in it. I’m sure they saw me and thought ‘tourist…????’ I hope they are more generous with the locals….
Used to love this chip shop when was going a few years ago, guessing it has changed ownership or having a bad night. Put gravy on out the back and couldn't see any so asked for more. Guy said it had ran to the bottom and put an extra dribble on. Had to wait for chips to be cooked so I assumed they would be fresh. Tasted like they were cooked yesterday. Had 2 chips and 1 bite of sausage then gave it to the dogs.
Quite possibly the worst chip shop I've ever eaten from.. we ordered 2x half pound burgers and chips and a tray of doner meat,
All looked like it was going to be nice, until the man took some frozen doner meat out the freezer and put it on the griddle and covered it in grease and proceeded to fry it and put it into the carton..
I would almost be certain that it was the frozen doner meat you get from Iceland that was served to us that actually costs about £3.99 for a big bag.. the chips were terrible too.. after eating it spent the next day running to the toilet... avoid avoid avoid
Took 1hr 20mins to be delivered 5 mins down the road (on a Thursday evening), had to chase the order by ringing once again. Wouldn't take payment over the phone, had to bank transfer and they would only send us their details by text once they were ready to cook the food - quite a faff tbh. Over charged us and although food tasted nice at the time, 4 out of the 6 of us were ill in the night
Take away fish and chips good quality. However we don't get them to put salt or vinegar on as we have had that done previously and it was too salty.
