I recently had the opportunity to experience the exceptional services at the ultrasound department of this hospital, and I am thoroughly impressed. The reception team's friendliness and professionalism set the tone for a positive visit. The ultrasound team members are not only knowledgeable but also incredibly reassuring and understanding. It's clear that they prioritize patient comfort and well-being.
The hospital's quiet ambiance, combined with its focus on outpatients, creates a serene environment for medical appointments.
Additionally, the availability of free parking for those traveling by car is a thoughtful convenience. Overall, my experience was outstanding, thanks to the dedicated staff and patient-centric approach of this hospital's ultrasound team.
My experience on this morning visit was great. The receptionist Viki was helpful and explained everything in detail.
I found the parking spot easily and registered my car without issue. Don’t forget to register it, it is free.
I had MRI done, didn’t wait and people were friendly from start to finish. The scan machine was new and the staff was helpful during the process. Didn’t have any bad experience overall.
Clean hospital, and restroom. You can see signs clearly and read instructions easily.
I would like to provide feedback regarding my conversation with the receptionist earlier today. I found her to be quite impolite, unhelpful, and condescending. I had called to schedule a blood test and was not expecting to receive a lecture on how I should learn new things.
She was in the process of scheduling my appointment over the phone, but when I hesitated in choosing a date, she suggested that I learn how to do it online, comparing it to learning how to drive. I found this to be quite rude and condescending. Essentially, she refused to assist me in scheduling my appointment over the phone, yet had the time to lecture me as if I were a child. I do not believe her behavior aligns with the NHS's goal of reducing phone calls and improving efficiency. Instead, it seems to be wasting time and resources.
While it is common to see signs reminding patients not to abuse staff, it is important to remember that patients also have rights and deserve to be treated with respect. Perhaps it is time to consider displaying signs that remind staff to treat patients with courtesy and professionalism.
Reception at walk-in clinic was quite rude/patronising - find it quite amusing when you see all these signs „don’t abuse our staff“ which of course is totally valid but a lot of times you see staff now misusing it and thinking that it gives them the right to become rude towards patients for literally no reason … (I returned to the desk with the form but didn’t fill in the back of the form and because she must have told me to do so when she gave it to me it was necessary for her and her colleague to point out the „stupidity“ of all of us who don’t fill in the back) well sorry I guess you two don’t make mistakes ever….
But funny right next to them you see the signs with „not all disabilities are visible“ maybe read that twice before you start your shift next time.
then I was called in by a lady and when she saw me and my toddler daughter she said „actually can you give me 5 minutes?“ I said „yes“ but then a male nurse came to collect me who was super super friendly but I wonder what that was about.. the previous nurse gave me a bit of an impression of „oh no I’m not dealing with that now and will get someone else“ but well we won’t know as she didn’t communicate her sudden change of mind
The male nurse told me they don’t have doctors available which makes me question why I waited at all and haven’t been sent somewhere else before even sitting down in the waiting area as my daughters condition would have needed a doctor which should have been known from the form I filled in …
Again the male nurse was very friendly but the behaviour at the reception was just lame.
Not even sure if anyone even cares about reviews anymore because it’s just the norm now to behave like that but well maybe someone takes it to heart.
Staff here is always great and thoughtful. Very welcoming and caring. The receptionist at the NHS Walk-in Centre was very reassuring and smiling which is the best when you're in pain! Can't thank them enough for taking care of me earlier this year. I also went here to get some blood tests done and an ultra-sound which all went well thanks to the lovely staff once again.
The atmosphere in this brand-new/renovated building is nice ????
Walk in centre atrocious, only one lady on reception was nice , the consultant we saw was very rude didn’t show any compassion towards my 5 year old and questioned why at 5 years old she was still in pull ups at night, once I explained she had autism and had night terrors I was met with just “hmm”. I understand NHS staff are overwhelmed and overworked but basic people skills and compassion isn’t hard !
I visited the hospital due to excruciating back pain which started to go down my right leg. It wasn't a great start as the receptionist was extremely rude & made me feel like I was wasting their time but putting her aside, I have to say that all of the staff thereafter were extremely kind & friendly. The reason for my three star rating is because I was told it was sciatica & was sent away with quite a few boxes of tablets. This was without any type of scan or thorough examination. At the time I trusted their judgement. A week or so later the pain was getting worse so I went for a second opinion elsewhere & finally got to the bottom of my pain. It turns out I have a slipped disc, scoliosis & a tear. I do totally understand the NHS is under tremendous pressure but I am so glad I trusted my gut.
Lovely, clean, modern hospital. I was seen very fast by friendly professional staff. Thank you MRI department 5⭐
