A cafe in a rural setting. Dog friendly. Nice selection of brunch/lunch foods on the menu as well as cakes. The coffee had a good flavour and was a good value. Their small car park fills up quickly but there's wide enough roads around to park your car.
Of the things I'd like to see done differently is to set the egg whites slightly more as my egg's white was very runny (but thanks to that the yolk was perfectly runny). I do however hate a solid yolk so I've got to be careful what I am wishing for.
There's a public footpath at the end of Field Lane if you fancy stretching your legs.
Overall a good place and we'll be back.
Jo at Field was amazing when planning an event for 20+ people at Field. She was very helpful and accommodating. On the day the venue, staff and food was perfect - everyone was helpful and friendly, the food was delicious and the venue looked great. Will definitely return and would recommend for any events
Great atmosphere in a beautiful setting. Food was absolutely delicious and the staff were spot on. I really enjoyed the outdoor seating in the sun and can't wait to visit again. It was a great location with some amazing walks so I was very happy to end my walk with some fantastic food

Nice first visit to Field after seeing them online. Out of the way, not something you'd just stumble upon.
I had the Turkish eggs. Very tasty and a well put together dish. A relative had a prawn sandwhich, they thought it was okay but not worth the price.
The coffee used is Darkwoods so always a good people-pleaser choice used around the Huddersfield area, however milk preparation was lacking.
My flat white had a lot of air introduced into it leaving it topped like a cappuccino and the lattes others ordered had very varied levels of microfoam, highlighted by the glass cups they're served in.
Overall a nice spot and I'd probably go again if I was in that direction and I did enjoy the food. Just the quality of drinks needs to reflect their prices.
I would just like to thank Jo and the team for providing the catering for both my daughter’s wedding and our family’s lunch party the next day, last weekend. Our guests were highly complimentary of both the quality of the food and the excellent service provided by all the staff. A particular highlight was the theatre of appointing table captains to carve the most excellent beef at the tables. To be able to provide such wonderful catering for such a large party, from a marquee, was quite incredible. The attention to detail in the table setting beforehand, the setting for the wedding cake (repositioning flowers to set it off) and the overall smooth running of service and bar allowed us to just enjoy the day and receive so many compliments on their behalf. Mandy Guest’s touch still evident in the super canapés! Great job all round.Unreserved recommendation from us.
Friendly staff and beautiful food - love visiting Field with friends and family and feel lucky to have this great cafe in our village.
Really enjoyed my breakfast. Bacon brie and cran, beautiful. Straight from a local walk with the dog.
