In my opinion, the best chip shop in town.
As a truck driver, i eat all around the country.
Every time i am in the area i will eat here.
The man who served me, i think was the owner, was very polite & a very nice man. We had a nice conversation while he cooked my food fresh.
Its good to talk to the shopkeepers & its nice for us the customers to hear from them to.
It really does make the food taste better. P
Looking for a fish and chip by the seaside should be easy, which it is.
However, looking for fish and chips by the seaside that is reasonably priced, now that's a challenge!
Enter this plaice...(If you pardon the pun).
It is a little drive from the actual sea front, but is on the way out of town, so you are not detouring too much.
It is HALF the price vs the sea front. Generally on the whole cooked fresh on order.
As I said it is NOT on the sea front, but if you can hold your hunger for 10 minutes, the amount of money you will save will make it worthwhile (if you have a lot of mouths to feed!).
Please note - Parking can be an issue. The shop has 2 spaces outside and is on a double yellow route. You have been warned.

Staying at butlins and needed a quick meal out. We ate in as didnt want to take food back to hotel . Friendly staff and all food cooked fresh. Portion size big and all cooked to perfection . Would definitely recommend and go back again .
Excellent fish and chips from this well established take away , good food well cooked at very reasonable prices. The owner is zen like in his work diligently doing his masterful work on cooking everything fresh to order in a quiet manner ... ....not at all flustered...unlike another fish and chip shop I could mention in Barnham.

We walked along here from home earlier this evening for a traditional fish and chip supper. The place wasn't that busy and the sole, oriental gentleman cooking & serving was super calm and efficient as he prepared our food, freshly fried. We had cod and chips with salt and vinegar. The batter was superb and the cod a lovely, fresh white colour. All good!
Great fish and chips only moan is they never have large haddock EVER . Please get some in
