Ten of us went for dinner at the Farmers Arms last night.
Both the service and food were absolutely fantastic!! I had sweet chilli chicken sizzler, with wraps, dips and rice and it was fabulous! I was trying to be good and resist the desserts, but when I saw the pavlova, I couldn't resist! Crispy delicious meringue flavoured with vanilla, covered with lovely soft Chantilly cream and then fruit and sauce on top. I think this is the best dessert I have had in some time. It was marvellous!!
Walked here from the canal and welll worth a visit. Very friendly staff and very dog friendly as well. I didn't have a meal so can't comment on on the food other than it looked nice!
If you're looking for a rural, friendly pub - you've found it.
What can I say, Wow ! We really enjoyed our Sunday lunch today. Nice warm greeting, clean well presented table. More than enough choice on the menu throughout. Our meals came hot and generous portion, well presented. Thank you, we loved it ❤
I had the steak pie with rock hard pastry, (probably microwaved I was told); but packed full of steak in a lovely gravy, with delicious chips like I haven't tasted for a long time anywhere and a welcome carrots and peas on the side.
I'd eat there again and take the steak pie again more than likely.

Julie the landlady is running a nice village pub, all staff and locals friendly too
Good unfussy pub, great menu, good service, though sometimes you have to wait for a member of staff to appear from the bar in the other half of the pub.
Try the salmon sizzler, but make sure you have the appetite for it.
A true gem of a local pub..with great restaurant and a big dinning area
Chris on the bar counter was very friendly and she made me feel immediately welcomed.
I decided to have a meal and sat in the local lounge area with my pint of White Rat, a Yorkshire cask ale and looked through the menu.
A burger was beckoning so I went for the Farmers Arms "steak burger" and it was very good.
Overall a warm and friendly pub with great staff and a relaxing atmosphere.

Pity I live so far away otherwise I'd make it back here often...
One of the best meals I have ever had. Fantastic menu, piping hot and great portions. All staff were very friendly, helpful and very professional. My grandchildren (10 & 8) love going to this pub because they're treated well by the staff. Will definitely be returning
