I didn't eat. Some of my mates did. The service is pretty good. I like the atmosphere.
I have Visited Etherow County Park and Cafe with a close friend, we walked around and did some sightseeing and taking in the breathtaking views, Summer Sun and fresh air.
Its a lovely place to walk, relax and escape from the world.
The cafe was a lovely place as well. With good views, great value for money on food and drinks.
Definitely would visit again.
Lovely little place very peaceful the only downside is that no gluten free menu for those with allergies i would of thought that as more and more people have to stick to strict diet a gluten free option should be available i do hope this changes in future as it is essential to cater for those who have allergies and have no choice otherwise it is a very nice place and the lad who served us drinks was very polite and attentive to all the customers
i love the walk, it’s just the cafe i hate… the food is great don’t get me wrong, it’s just the workers. a worker came up to my table and just stood there behind the kids, not saying anything, and just watching us (there were kids, 5, 6, and 12 years old). then he started picking up crumbs from the table and throwing them at us, and when we asked if he was alright, he just ignored us. then he went over to my eldest and touched her without consent. really scary ngl. need to sort that out. dont reccomend the cafe at all.
Finishing a beautiful walk around Etherow Country Park on one of the first sunny days of the year. Had really looked forward to a Kelly's ice cream cone upon our return at 3. 30pm to be told "that ice cream is closed now but you can get a packet one from next door" was gutted!! The kids had been discussing what flavours they had wanted all the way around. Very disappointing! It's not hard to scoop a quick ice cream out.
What a lovely little café! The atmosphere is welcoming, the food is great, and contrary to other reviews, I would say incredibly reasonably priced. There were two of us who had lunch, we both had hot food and a drink each, and it totalled just over £12. Not too bad! The café is both dog and children friendly, and is run by Pure Innovations, a charity providing help to members of the local community, "helping them to create fulfilled lives with a sense of purpose and belonging". Can't really fault the place, and great views over the lake. Lovely afternoon out!
The place was busy and staff were friendly and attentive the selection of cakes was great.
The menu looks super child friendly and from the look of the food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing (we were just on a coffee break) ☕️ ????
Nice cafe for sit in or take out, the staff are always friendly. Food is nice and decent quality, good drinks selection and ice creams for the kids on warmer days. We usually buy bird seed from the little shop next door. Toilets just outside.
