Going from disappointment to disappointment hoping that at some point I’ll find a decent fish and chips in the area I checked the google reviews of Essex RD Fish Kitchen and I was very surprised with them.
Many of them called them “the best fish and chips in London”
Yes, huge statement so, I had the perfect excuse to go and try.
The place looks clean. Very important because it is not a common thing specially when they are frying all the time.
They fried the cod in front of me. It called my attention that they didn’t have a few of them already done.
The one I consider “the best fish and chips in london” have a few ready because they sale so many. In here I had to wait more than I expected.
My cod was very fresh and tasted great. Big portion.
Chips also were also properly cooked.
A very nice touch is that I was asked if I wanted a wedge of lemon! How cool is that???
The guy who served me was very smily and helpful.

I highly recommend this place. While there are many Fish and Chip shops nearby, if you want top-quality, fresh fish and chips, this is the place to go. Typically, I only leave reviews to warn others, but not this time. Telephone ordering for pick-up is convenient, especially on Fridays. And don't underestimate the young staff; they provide excellent customer service and the food is proper trust me. I'm not receiving any compensation for this recommendation, but I'm sure I'll receive a few extra chips from now on! Don't just take my word for it; try it out next time you're craving Fish and Chips!
Was passing by on way home and staff gave really great service. Fish really fresh and as I was last customer they gave me extra. Was well worth it. Best fish and chips in Islington and very friendly staff. Will be back!
This is a fantastic fish and chip shop, the BEST I have ever had. Tommy and his brother (whose name I've forgotten due to my poor memory) are very nice people too. I will definitely go back again and have told my friends about it already. Absolutely fabulous ????????❤

The best fish and chip shop in islington, they cook the fish while you wait. The batter of the fish is always crispy along with the chips. The prices are goof for the size of fish you get. It's always fresh tasting well worth visiting.
