Lovely little find, desperately in need for late night food after a long drive down from Liverpool with a 3 year old and got served hot and tasty food even though the kitchen had closed a few hours prior!
The amazing manager jumped in the kitchen and we got the best service along with tasty meals. Friendly and with a kids play area too! Highly recommended ????????
New ownership 7 weeks ago. Mum and I had roast turkey with peas, red cabbage, roasted carrots and cauliflower cheese children's size. Very tasty. Quiet atmosphere.
Driving past, looked nice from outside, popped in for lunch, nice back ground music playing, appeared a homely pub, pub grub food at reasonable prices, Food took 50 mins to arrive, like they had gone out to slaughter a cow, or pluck a chicken!( even tho pub wasn't busy) when food finally arrived was home cooked and nice, but should of been informed of the delay from the start, otherwise would of ete else where, locals at bar got an apologee, we didn't!
After checking out where to go for a child friendly pub, we chose this after reading good reviews. This is what the 'garden' looked like..... We didn't stay!!
Only here for the beer, which is generally pretty good. The two bars in this pub aren't always both occupied. There is a good supply of car parking places and a smallish enclosed garden area. There is quite a community feel to the place.
Great location, really pleasant and clean pub. Food and Drinks superrb. Taste also good.
