When other reviewers say this is a short, easy walk, it may be for them, but for this moderately In-shape 70-year-old man, it was a bit strenuous. Roots and loose stones do their best to cause tripping and sliding. Nevertheless, the trip to the top was 1,000 steps and took a little over 10 minutes. And there are fabulous views from 3 directions including towards Loch Lomond. It was worth the effort for me. Happy trekking!
A sea of bluebells and mixed woodland, 10 mins to the top, a decent path and extremely rewarding view. Highly recommended!
Thank you to the private landowner for sharing such a scenic spot!
Easy trek up to the top of the hill. It is slightly steep in some places. Amazing views of Loch Lomond. Well worth the stop if you’re passing through to or from Glasgow.
Short, steep, but easy enough trail to the top for a stunning view. Many thanks to the owner of this private land for allowing us to enjoy it!
Good path, great view. 15 minute climb with my little one in tow.
Quick steep walk. Worth it. 30 mins and relax at top
Last time we were here, the initial section of path was a muddy quagmire, but I was pleased to find this morning that it has been surfaced and drainage added, for a far more pleasant walking experience.
The climb itself takes less than 10 minutes. Unfortunately, the famous view (the whole point of climbing the hill) is obscured by bushes, which need cutting back.
Short sharp walk with great views
