Great practice. Very friendly, understanding and helpful staff and a wide range of services, including an on-site pharmacy. Doctors are second to none. My family have been with this practice for over 25 years.
Poor service.
Slow to answer phones.
Don't bother to inform you that they have stop your repeat perception and that you need to see the Dr. Then don't have any appointments available. All could of been avoided by a simple text asking for me to contact Dr's surgery, (they send texts reminding you of your appointment) instead of me travelling all the way from work, past home to the surgery to find out you can't have your painkillers. Good job I've got a few days perception left.
I've been at this surgery for 38 yrs and have always been satisfied with the service Unfortunately it is not the same anymore. Trying to get an appointment is a real problem. Its not often I come thankfully but when I really need to see a GP I can't get to see one. I phoned this morning for 45 mins eventually got through to find no appointments so I had to go to the walk in. Not sure why some surgery's manage really well and others don't. Think I need to look elsewhere
I have been at this practice for over 20 years and have seen many changes and doctors. In the early days I have sat for nearly 2hours before I was seen by the doctor the surgery was nearly always full to bursting. The methods over the years of making an appointment have been greatly improved. On very few occassions have I been unable to obtain an appointment on the day I've rang. This is understandable at certain times especially during winter months. I have always found the reception staff to be helpful and efficient and they do try and fit you in if possible. There was a period when the surgery seemed to lose a few doctors one after the other namely Drs Pleasance Shah and Taylor who I miss but recently a lot of new doctors have arrived at the surgery and I have seen most of them and I feel that the surgery has regained the friendliness and experience it had previously. I am very satisfied with the service I get from this surgery. Also I'd like to say that the pharmacy staff are plesant and helpful too
excellent medical centre , but at my age I find the 8am Same day Book in system Very Inconvenient. I would Very much prefer When I could Phone appointment the day before. also since the government changes it costs me a taxi fare to order a repeat prescription when it used to cost a Phone call.
Yesterday I called to make an appointment, started at 8am, made 137 attempts...yes 137. Eventually got through at 8.37am...no appointments. Called today to make an appointment, started at 8am made 3 calls and got put in a queue/on hold for 20 mins. When they finally answered...no appointments. I don't know what has changed in the last few months as I've never had issues before but it needs to change back quick as this is ridiculous.
Appalling!! if you need a blood test make sure you are there well before your time. There are no parking spaces and no allowances made if you are disabled. My son is in a wheelchair and had nowhere for his carer to park his vehicle. He got in there eventually and was 2 mins late for his appointment. He had had nothing to eat as he needed a fasting blood done. They refused point blank to see him despite there only being 2 people in the waiting room!! Discrimination at its very best. Well done Whetstone!!! I would give you no stars at all but it will not let me post without one.
Been a patient here for years as its ear where I live, absolutely terrible service, practically impossible to get an appointment. I usually end up going to the walk in centre near my work, or A&E. Front of house staff are rude and dismissive
