We had a fabulous stay at Dornoch Station whilst driving the NC500. ||The refurb of the hotel is excellent, and you really feel like you’re somewhere special. The maximalist rooms are quirky, comfy and have a great bathroom. ||We are in the bar, which was absolutely fantastic. We can’t fault the lovely staff, and the food was spot on. ||We had a great stay here, would happily return.
Recently refurbished hotel, right on Royal Dornoch Golf Course. Something of an “olde worlde” feel, with lots of wood panelling and tiling. Nice bar with decent food menu, and excellent full breakfast in main restaurant. Our room was a sea and golf view and very spacious with complimentary tee coffee and water. Bathroom was a little small.||All staff were excellent. Good value for prices we paid.
Wow - was gorgeous, staff lovely and refurb beautiful. Popped in for a peek and a cocktail - cocktail just fab. Really high quality inside with a lovely sumptuous colour scheme xx Snooker room particularly special. Outdoor seating was great with stunning views - highly recommend. Thanks
Staying at a different hotel in Dornoch we decided to book dinner at this new to us Hotel after hearing of it’s extensive renovation.|On entering you are literally blown away by the standard of the interior it truly is breathtaking.|We were greeted warmly by a gentleman in reception and that is where it ended. |We were directed not accompanied to the bar where we met a delightful young man who was chatty and he supplied our cocktails. |We decided past our dinner time reservation we would find our way to the dining room ourselves as no one came to take us in . |On entering we were showed to our table where we ordered dinner.|My dinner was delicious but I have to say service was abrupt . |On leaving the dining room reception was empty of staff and we had to locate our own coats. |We had no goodbye.|To say it was a disappointing visit would be an understatement. We had such high hopes . |So 10/10 for the interior but staff leaves a lot to be desired.|So no going back for us. |We were staying at The Royal Golf Hotel nearby where it was a complete reverse re the staff.|Where we felt valued and welcomed.
Meal for six ,family and friends in the golden goose restaurant. Despite a wedding being held in adjacent function suite ,service was excellent and didn't spoil our evening. My evening was spoiled by having to sit on the most uncomfortable wooden chairs I've ever come across. The section of our party sitting on the green " seats " were far too low. Not sure who the designer was but pretty sure they have never tried eating at their tables.|Apart from £10 for a carrot the food was good !
Fabulous dinner and outstanding service, so pleased we ate here. Decor is opulent and charming, easily the best we have come across in Dornoch area. Highly recommended
Great stay at Dornoch Station, wonderful location especially if you want to play golf. Food is wonderful, staff very friendly and the comfortable beds allow for a great nights sleep.
Newly refurbished to great effect, this is a lovely place to stay. The bar gets top marks, as does the service.
