Came here as it's one of a few takeaways in Castletown. No staff on counter, no one answers the phone. There's was one cook working in the kitchen and appears to be a one man band. Left after 10 minutes of standing around waiting to be served.
I pulled in to go to the chippy next door but they were closed as Sunday, but DK's was open. Really good chips, really good sweet & sour chicken strips, and good egg fried rice too (that's all I had). Not too expensive, friendly and quick, piping hot and tasty, thank you ????
Food was delicious and ample portions . The only gripe is we initially went on Wednesday, but it wasn't open, and had to go back on the Thursday but couldn't knock the food . It's reasonably priced, too.
This is the nearest Chinese takeaway to our holiday cottage so, after reading very varied reviews, we decided to order. It does indeed look a little unprepossessing from the outside but the quality of the food was excellent with a good balance of meat, fresh, beautifully cooked vegetables, noodles and rice. Prawn crackers were included. It’s a real pleasure when things exceed expectations!
If half of the food had been correct. It would have been okay. What I had wasn't to bad. I just hope the person who got the other part of my order enjoys it, as I didn't really enjoy theirs. On a brighter note though, the fella behind behind the counter was throughly pleasent.
Food poisoning from the place last (very last) visit. Opens sporadically place looks like a dump on the outside hate to see what the back looks like ????
What’s the point in having opening times? You should just say open if we feel like it!
If I could give zero stars I would.
Wonderful takeaway with great quality food that I can definitely recommend.
