Beware if you're considering purchasing motorhome Wi-Fi.
The installation engineer turned up at night even though we were advised he would arrive around 9-am. He was swearing and angry due to communication problems with the company. Firstly he refused to connect the router to the battery of our choice (which had already been discussed with the salesperson), but when he installed the equipment he damaged the wires and router terminals. The equipment didn’t work. The engineer didn’t care; he clearly just wanted to rush the job and be away. When I tried to call to resolve the problem the company all of a sudden had an issue with their phones meaning they couldn’t take any calls. Funny how there were no problems taking calls in order to make a sale. I was fobbed off to the supplier (Motorhome WiFi) and none of my concerns specifically relating to DMS were resolved. We’ve had to make do with mobile hotspot ever since. This was a complete waste a money and we will be taking further action. There is no point trying to reach a solution with this company - they simply ignore any communication.
So yes, be wary of this company. Terrible organisation and customer care.
DMS fitted our wifi system to our motorhome this morning. Both of them were polite, informative and friendly. Discussed with us were things were going to go. Did a very tidy job, routing the cable so it wasn't too visible. Explained and helped with setting up. Happy with service and can recommend
Saw their stall at Shepton mallet campervan show, wanted some seat covers for the van didn't have the colour I wanted, had a word with Paula who told me to message her with the colour I wanted, did just that and she ordered them to be made, received them a week or so later, so pleased with them
Could you please deliver the Fiamma F45s Awning that I ordered?You sent me a more expensive F80s which doesn't fit....not surprisingly. You can have these 5 stars for the rest of the day.....our final outing in our Motorhome, starting tomorrow will be somewhat tarnished without an awning....we need to sell the Motorhome after this final trip.....wont be easy to sell without an awning on and being away for a few days in the hot weather will make our last trip less comfortable.....Please try a bit.....James
Good News…..Direct Motorhome Services sorted everything, they managed to deliver the corrected awning and collect the other one with just enough time for me to fit it in time for the trip away. Thank you….good service. ????
Enquired for nearly 2 weeks to try and establish a price for an awning. I was told several prices for the same awning all of which were completely different. In the end my emails were ignored. Complete waste of my time!
Edit/reply... I was told 4 or 5 different prices which varied wildly. The last conversation I had I believe was with Tracey who was meant to speak to Alan to confirm and price and get back to me. This never happened and my subsequent 2 emails were ignored.
Great place that I had no idea existed until the Domestica head office in Scandinavia told us about it. We had a broken awning and went for advice. Unfortunately it was unrepairable and we we offered a replacement which they fitted there and then at a competitive price. Really helpful and responsive … so pleased to have found them. Great service. Thank you
I had a Fiamma f45s supplied and fitted yesterday to my VW 5.1. Many thanks to Charlie for your knowledge on the subject, and friendly advice. Excellent service, cannot thank them enough for their friendly professional approach. They took the time to explain how to use and to watch for any pitfalls. Well done five star service.
Called in here, as it states mot repairs, and servicing. I need some help with my van conversion MAF sensor and ESP issues resolving.l I called in as am local to here, was met outside the reception by a young lady who basically told me to go away and take it to the dealers, now I'm sure anybody knows what Mercedes dealers are like. If this is how you treat potential customers, that will be why all your customer parking is empty and will probably stay that way. ---> As per their nasty response to my review, I didn't advise any time frame that I needed the work completed in and I didn't say I was in the vehicle to be repaired I was told flat out that they do not undertake any engine related work just mot work, when I said like sensors that need to be replaced for the MOT I was advised no nothing to do with the engine would be serviced/repaired. My guess is they draw you in with that but will only book you in if you're buying an overpriced dometic appliance.
