Good, authentic dim sum. Not sure if the long wait times are worth it though since there are other places that offer the same sort of selection. Service was good! Somewhat higher prices :) Check it out if there’s not a long queue !
The food is good and we came on a weekday lunch time so there wasn’t a queue but we still waited for at least 10-15mins. The staff are too busy to let you know the wait time/ talk to you and they just occasionally peek out the door to see if you are there
I would say its good dim sum (especially for the xiaolongbao) but it feels like it has been overhyped by social media, though maybe its a preference thing because my friend loves it and keeps going back
Staff isnt very friendly (just like local hong kong restaurant attitude which is fine ig) and i think one sneezed way too close to us
Make sure to queue early to avoid long waits! We started queuing at 5:00 and were at the front of the queue for dinner service.
Dim sum was fantastic and super authentic. The informal, loud and bustling atmosphere can be jarring for some, but feels exactly like home for me. The staff were genuinely worried that we didn't order enough (we ended up very full though)! Service would've been better if we were given some tap water.
Personally would recommend the har gow (蝦餃) and nian gao (年糕) (if they still have it). There wasn't a single item we ordered that we weren't happy with.
Well worth the 30 min wait. Delicious food. Great sized portions. Lovely staff. Great prices. Best beef ho fun I've had in London
After years of eating out in London. This is my current NO.1 dim sum place. The soup dumpling is a must order. All the other dimsum we tried are all very tasty and authentic. The price is reasonable, the service is very good. It is a small restaurant, not many seatings, you have to wait for 20 minutes to an hour or even longer.
Tiny place where there is always a queue. I think Its mostly popular between oriental people. Food is great but its not the best I have tried.
I liked the custard bun-real nice and creamy.
Worth trying but we waited for an hour.
It’s the best dim sum I have ever tasted in London. Such a small shop with less than 20 seats in door plus eight or ten seats out door, they provide many types dim sum, almost all in very high quality but very reasonable price.
How can they make it?
I m told they have seven chefs in the kitchen! No wonder.
Small restaurant with seating for about 18/20 inside and 8 outside. Always has a queue, so expect the queue! Arrived at 6.10pm and joined the queue as the first sitting had started. There were 9 people ahead of us, but as we queued, people started joining their friends at the front, which is a bit annoying. Was in the queue for an hour, which is about average, and they provide a couple of chairs and stools towards the front of the queue. By the time we had got in, there were about 28 people behind us from what I counted.
Service is friendly but quick as expected to be fair on those queueing, and you are only allowed to order once at the start to help move this along. Have a good idea of what you want ahead. Food arrived quickly and steaming hot! The dumplings were huge compared to the dim sum I've experienced before, which is what I've found to be the frozen kind from the cash & carry! This was definitely a step up as before you expect 1 prawn in a small dumpling, but here you get about 3! Same with the prawn and chives dumpling. Loved the garlic prawn spring rolls! The salt and pepper squid is one the best I've had with the light crispy batter! Not had any like that since Silom Village in Ealing closed. The beef cheung fun was nice and soft, and the prawn was delicious too! Only let down was the duck and rice, but it wasn't the worst I've had.
All in all I think it was worth the wait for some fresh tasty dim sum the way its meant to be and not the frozen mass produced kind most restaurants serve. Just dont come here expecting 5 star restaurant service and atmosphere etc. Its kind of a delightful hole in the wall kinda place and the constant queues is a testament to that.
