Worst fish and chips I have ever had heard this place supposed to be nice where do I start worse chips I have had in 50 years tasteless chips and the oil is burnt disgusting chips how could you feed these to your kids even the dog wouldn’t eat them the fish was totally burnt spent 20 pound and couldn’t eat them not a happy customer

The worst fish and chips I’ve ever had! Visiting family as a southerner I’d expect a seaside town to have a decent go at fish and chips, but my god, I was disappointed.

The oil was clearly old, the portions were the meanest I’ve ever seen and the chips were burnt and awful tasting. To top it off I found some micro plastic in my fish. Avoid this place like the plague.

BEST CHIP SHOP ON EAST COAST. NOTHING COMES NEAR IT. BIG UP DICKY BEES. Proper old school curry sauce, impeccable fish. N a lovely set of ladies behind counter.

Take away: Fish and chips are very good though the chips can be a bit hard. If you like good fish & chips in Filey, come here - much better than some of the other places.

Thought we’d try some where new from normal places. Fish and chips is subjective and one man likes crispy golden batter and another likes it soft and greasy.

Food didn’t work me here. A very dark batter, a thin fish and heart sunk when the skin was still on.

No curry sauce, so went with gravy but too runny for me(great for others perhaps).

Freshly cooked to order, friendly staffs and reasonable pricing.

Chips were okay. We had a haddock which was very greasy but the fish itself tasted alright without the batter. The pattie was extremely greasy. Mushy peas wasn't good at all and didn't taste much.

Visiting Filey and wandering past here and a lady passers-by said best in Filey so we gave it a try.OMG not disappointed. Cod,chips and peas absolutely brilliant, really worth a try people ????

Called here this lunchtime for fish and chips to eat by the sea. Lovely friendly staff. Great deal, Haddock, chips and peas in a box £6.70 each and a sausage for the dogs. It was all fresh out of the fryer and very very good. Would definitely recommend ????
