Love this park. Free parking, pleasant little kids playground and a great big park with clear streams running either side.
Great place to walk your dog or to do some exercise running or jogging. It has water a little steam either side of the green which is great if your dog likes going into water. Beware that on Sundays there are footballers on the green. There is a nice park for children aswel but if the sun's out beware that it's gets busy.
This park is wonderful for families with little children. The area is relaxing, as it's hidden in the trees. The large field is great for playing football on, or riding your bikes. There's also a little stream running around the premises.
Great park which is well looked after. The grass seems to be cut regularly. Has a nice playground which is often populated by children and their parents.
The grass frequently has dogs and their owners, as well as the odd cat on a lead :D
Similarly there are plenty of people using the grass for sports and other activities. I've only been here for 5/6 weeks but the while park is used regularly by people. There are lights on part of the footpaths at night.
Good to have the river running down both sides at the park but it gets waterlogged when it rains.
Quiet peaceful small park ....no hassle and full of activity ...with tennis courts, football field, children playarea and wildlife
Good play area but used to be better. One of the swings does make a notable creaking noise when it is sat on by over 3 people
Over the years I have spent many happy times in this lovely park. Surrounded by the river Wye, with a playground, tennis courts and plenty of space to picnic, run and play. My children paddled with friends in the shallow parts of the river and learnt to ride their bikes and now my grandson is doing the same. It can be very busy but it is a great facility. I hope people will remember to look after it and appreciate just how lucky we are to have such a place to enjoy and share in the middle of a busy town. The river is home to the usual ducks and coots but watch a while and you'll also see fish and kingfishers among other things. It looks like a simple park but has so much more to offer. Enjoy.
