After utter turmoil for months with most of the staff leaving "understandably", the lady who stepped in at the deep end has steadied the ship, she's done a job deserving of praise under extreme provocation at times, and the staff there now have been steadfast in support of Julie. Service is best it can be with the circumstances they were thrown into. J.R.B.
Shut when they feel like it, cannot rely on this branch at all
Closed at 1pm on Saturdays, automated phone service says 4pm, web page says 5pm?
They often crash the computer. You do not choose drugs in time, delay a week of time. The service changes frequently. The two oldest ladies working there are the nicest and most helpful. Thank you
I use this pharmacy fairly often as it is by far the closest to my house, but after recent experiences I don't think I can justify it anymore.
The first problem is that they are, and always have been, appallingly slow. Whether busy or not, they consistently take much longer to do anything than any other pharmacy I've ever been to. I was in on the 24th of December to pick up a prescription that my GP surgery in St. Andrews had faxed over the previous day, and had to to wait a good half hour while the member of staff faffed around on the computer claiming she couldn't find the message. Eventually I was given a prescription 20 pills short, and was told that I'd be able to pick up the rest on the 27th or Iater. I went in on the 30th to do just that, and after waiting a good 20 minutes was told that the prescription was only just being made up. So that meant another 20 minutes waiting on a prescription that should've been ready 3 days beforehand.
Another issue I've found is the general lack of arsed-ness from the staff. Some are friendly enough, but the majority come across as somewhat uncaring and inconvenienced by your presence. Case in point when I was in yesterday to buy some antiseptic cream. The pharmacy was empty with at least 6 staff in the back, at least one of whom had spotted me, yet I still had to wait to be served as they were all too engrossed in a conversation. When I was finally served, the lady offered no apology for my unnecessary wait. Some advice: when you work in an open environment, you can't hide blatant inattention.
Lloyds as a company I have no issue with. Their branch in St Andrews has been consistently excellent in my experience, always quick and with lovely, helpful staff. What a shame that the Glenrothes branch can't maintain the same standard.
My daughter went to collect part of my prescription which was out of stock on 13/03/20. I had phoned in the morning and was told it was ready for collection. When my daughter asked for it she was told it was not there. ??? I now as a high risk person with CPOD among other illnesses have to go in person to the chemist to collect the prescription that I need putting not just myself at risk but others in the community at risk due to incompetence. Yes the staff are lovely but that doesn’t help if they are also clueless or not bothered about other people’s health in these difficult times. I would give 0 if I could have NOT HAPPY
Always busy, ages to wait on anything. Staff are run off their feet trying to cope. The shop could do with a more efficient service when it comes to prescriptions and/or more Staff.
The worst thing of all is that i have to even give you a star the worst chemist in Fife shuts when it wants too 12.00 afternoon 1pm collecting my weekly perscripton is a nightmare which i badly need this has been going on for a few year's now not blaming the staff it's the chemist it can't be that difficult to prepare perscriptons it's beyond a joke.
