I've had experiences with both Ducati London and David Robinson's motorcycle garage for servicing my Ducati. In my experience, Ducati London sometimes fell short in accurately diagnosing problems, leading to unnecessary expenses and repeat visits. On the other hand, Dave at David Robinson's garage consistently demonstrates a deep understanding of Ducati bikes. He offers exceptional troubleshooting and service, identifying issues accurately the first time. For reliable and skilled garage services that save you time and money, I highly recommend David Robinson's garage over Ducati London. It's made a significant difference for me and my Ducati!
Dave knows his Ducatis. I called for advice as my 916 was not turning over very easily. I have had it for over ten years and covered 40 plus thousand miles. From telling Dave on the phone what I had found with the sprag clutch. he suggested to check the crank bearings and he was correct. The bike needed major surgery. I had it fixed elsewhere but just talking to Dave he knew a lot about the bike and what to look for. I would have used Dave at the time to fix it but he was too busy. He is a very experienced Ducati mechanic and I would trust him with mine. I have bought parts from Dave in the past also.
David is a friendly and professional, great to deal with!
I got a flat tyre on Saturday morning and had a nightmare finding someone who could help. Luckily I rode past David's shop. He had the tube and the time to get it all sorted at a very reasonable price!
I know him for long time before he use to work on Ducati very nice man and service and good very knowledge about Moto be recommended
David has been looking after my Ducati Monster 821 for 3 years now. He's the most dedicated and knowledgeable Ducati specialist I've seen in and around London; the kind of professional you want to hold on to as it seems to become a rarity! Prices are very fair unlike those big dealerships, and on many occasions he didn't even charge me for small works although spending time on my bike. What's more, he always tries to be accommodating as far as his schedule allows which in London is utterly helpful; he will also take time for a chat, explain what the issue is and what are the different options. All of which you'll never get with the bigger dealerships.
Found my Ducati man, small friendly dealer, with good knowledge, clean busy workshop will make this my regular service stop
Dave was recommended to us by a gentleman from a motorcycle recovery company in London. My wife's Ducati Monster 796 kept stalling and wouldn't start up. We took the bike in and Dave had diagnosed the problem and fixed it within hours. We picked the bike up that evening and he was very fair, only charging for one hour's labour and some minor parts. The bike is still under warranty but we'd rather pay for it to be seen by an experienced professional than a trainee mechanic at a dealership. Dave was very friendly and helpful and clearly knows his bikes! Highly recommended!
The Mileage computer on my Ducati Scrambler had shown the 4 dashes after a battery change, this requires the Ducati computer to fix. Dave was incredibly flexible when I rang him and was so kind as to fix it for free as it in his own words says only took him 10 mins.
Well he has won a new customer and will I definitely going back when a service is due or anything else required on the bike.
