All 3 burgers were actually really nice. The price for them were good. Hamburger Lot, Salmon Burger, Barra Burger.
The Dinner Box value pack (fish and chips) we got is way overpriced for that amount $18.50. That's more of a snack pack for $10. Fish was okay, definitely needs more chips for that much.
I was annoyed when on the phone it sounded like the lady told me seafood sticks were $2 but ended up being $2.50 and the serves of chips are to laugh at, see my images of what $6 worth of chips look like. I honestly have felt ripped off. But when I opened the pack and saw that beautiful piece of snapper...awesome. The fish was fresh and was battered well, hot but still crispy. The seafood sticks were good, if only a little on the soft side but had some crispy bits. The chips were above average for fish n chip stores but the amount was a super let down. If you thought $6 of chips could feed your family you’re wrong. This review would've been a 4 or 5. The chips definitely have affected my rating. If I had only bought the fish, it would be 5 stars easy.
Edit: Went back again, the second trip was much better, got more chips with my purchase, calamari rings were excellent and the battered snapper was still awesome for the price. Possibly my new fish n chips shop. Updated review to 4 stars, thanks.
18_08_2021_Edit2: Inconsistency is disappointing, new attached image is not $30 of fish n chips on a tiny tray. Called the owner, they advised they weigh all the chips, but in no universe can you tell me there is $30 on that tray.
I really love this place… Some of the best potato cakes I have ever had crispy and potato cakey. I did not get chips… Because chips are boring filler food
The (seafood) scallop was amazing the batter, really light and crispy, not thick.
And I tried a fish nugget… Which was actually more like a small piece of battered snapper, great value at three dollars each… Especially when a gigantic piece of fish is just all too much When you need to try, everything.
The the decor and Vibe is on assuming laid-back and old school… It doesn’t really need to be much more than it is… 10 points for the old school Vibe
For a quick dinner it was okay. We had 3 meals. Steak sandwich with the lot, seafood basket and grilled fish and salad. We all agreed the meals were a 7/10 each. The chips seemed like they no even salt and just had a sprinkle when plated. The grilled fish was very over cooked. The scallop in the basket was completely tasteless. This fish and prawns in the seafood basket were awesome and very fresh. The gardens out the back were good.
Not terrible but not too different to any other takeaway shop. The fish fillets aren’t full thickness and you get two thinner smaller pieces instead of the traditional one large thicker cut. The flavours are average, calamari dry. Appropriately rated
Nice food.. family business, so much potential as its right near the water.. definitely could do with a revamp.. food and Restaurant.

I had the Fishermen's mixed seafood basket and a prawn fried rice. The quality was reasonable but nothing special, the rice was a bit oily and a little undercooked. Would try them again if I felt like seafood. But there are many other places to try out in Darwin before returning to this reasonable fish and chips.
Fish n chips. Chips were crunchy and scruptious. We had two pieces of fish one was amazing one was not. I didn't complain because it was brought for me. I'm hoping that was an anomaly. I'll give it another go but buy it myself so I can ask for another one if it happens again.
Visited again yesterday. 25.04.2024 Had Bara and thready was sooooo good. I'll be back for sure. Chips were so nice and crispy but the fish was so delicious. Yummy....
