Great butcher, excellent quality meats pies and sausage rolls all at great prices, well worth travelling to visit.
Ordered meat for Christmas and enquired about gluten free chipolatas and stuffing, was told this would not be a problem. Turned up and they hadn’t made it gluten free, then had to wait 20 minutes while they got gluten free items from another chill, which resulted in me being late for work. Got home to find out that the gluten free chipolatas and the stuffing were infact gluten free venison sausage and venison sausage meat. Phoned up the shop and was flat out lied to by the butcher who told me they were “definitely what I asked for, I only have one gluten free label.”
As you can see from the pictures, it’s definitely venison when cooked. Luckily I never served this to guests as who knows what was in them. The two guests these were for suffer from celiac decease and therefor have a gluten intolerance that would make them very I’ll, it’s not a fad diet for them. The fact that someone who produces food for a living doesn’t have the correct labels and then lies about it anyway is quite frankly disgusting and concerning.
We travelled for miles on recommendations from a friend and what a treat to behold. The gentleman behind the counter, Bill, he was most helpful in recommendations and his venison sausage was the best we have ever tasted. Tried to source some more locally of similar quality and taste but to no avail.
The fillet steaks are something which needs to be seen and again tasted to be believed. We live in North Wales so that says how good it is.
Quality butcher , amazing prices , great hot food , guy that owns this butcher is a fantastic fellow, we were here today for some hot rolls , excellent produce
Astoundingly good butchers pies ect best i ever tried, top grade beef expertly butchered and presented the big pork chops are stunning the counter staff are well mannered and respectfull. I do a 20 mile round trip even though they deliver a pleasure to visit should be on tourist map for the pies alone
Nicely laid out butcher's. Superb fillet steaks and excellent Ayrshire bacon. Recommended to us by a restaurant in Minishant - they were not wrong.
