Best KPortal Reviews

Had a tea, and a pastry, much needed after walking from Peacehaven.
A charming little restaurant with a good variety of food and cake for consumption.
Sofas to relax on at the rear
A very lovely little cafe with baked goods, that are also suitable for vegans.
We asked for an iced chocolate instead of a hot chocolate and I highly recommend, that you add it to your selection of drinks. Thanks for creating this for us! It was so needed in this very warm day.
I'm a broke uni student and came here to collect a Too Good to Go order. Never visited before but I definitely will again (and not just for Too Good to Go orders).
Bread was really fresh and tasty, croissants had LOADS of chocolate filling inside, staff were really friendly and welcoming. If this was the food that was left over at the end of the day, I can't imagine how good the rest of what they sell is.
Inside is all decorated for Christmas, gives off really cosy vibes and I feel like this place is a bit of a hidden gem. Also it's cool that they make sure that their leftover food does not go to waste, really appreciated, especially right now!
Don't bother if you have dietary requirements. Visited after reading some encouraging reviews about vegan food available (which caters my need to remain dairy and egg free), however I am also intolerant of soya which is often used in vegan substitutes - staff clueless about the ingredients of their pastries and bread, kept reiterating that these come from a factory that handles soya and milk but they don't get the full ingredients list. Which is also a bit rubbish if claiming to be an artisan bakery? Coffee was also very sub par. The best thing about the cafe is a nice baby change area, but only one high chair available for the whole cafe.
Edited to add: This is not about not having the options for my specific requirements. I know they are extremely restrictive and difficult to cater for, believe me I am used to this,I am living with this. What is disappointing is when the artisan bakery can't tell me what's in the goods they're selling - it was a simple question of whether your vegan pastries contain any soya as an ingredient, and your staff just kept saying they don't know as they get it from the factory without the individual list of ingredients? Not had this issue at other places where a quick "sorry this contains soya milk" is usually enough.
The sun is shining, the sky is blue and I didn't have a thing in for breakfast. I didn't just want to go round to the co-op so I treated myself to scrambled eggs on toast. The food was excellent and the service was even better, very friendly. They also do nice vegan croissants (I got one to take away for my flatmate who can't tolerate dairy) and if you need to cool down they have top quality Purbeck ice-cream which is a favourite of mine. Pop in, it's a great addition to Longridge Avenue shops!
I really love going there for a lovely lunch meal with a great Italian black coffee whilst doing some work on my computer. The WiFi is very fast and reliable by the way. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and the new venue modifications are so colourful and cheerful. Thank you.
OMG where do I start? Their sandwiches are amazing! I needed 3 sandwiches in a hurry and being in Saltdean, I jumped on to Google to find the nearest bakery. I was able to find this wonderful place!
Not only were they super polite and helpful on the phone, ordering was mega easy and then came the bill, I nearly fell over, 3 lovingly hand prepared sandwiches, to my exact requirements, cost less than those nasty sweaty sandwiches from petrol stations and they tasted superb!!!!! I would recommend this lovely bakery to EVERYONE no matter how near or far they are! Thank you so much Daisy’s Pantry Artisan Bakery!!!
Just expanded from a bakery into a cafe and bakery, with other foodstuffs in told coming on stream soon, this place is a gem.
The bread is a world away from the normal mass produced stuff, the cakes are huge and delicious and the coffee is great.
Lovely trendy, modern boho decor & excellent service.
Update: A driven lady, determined to bring the whole retail & dining experience of the street up to a new high standard and leading from the front in her own business and networking with the others. Superb effort.
Update: Still great & helping to bring everything up in the street.
Update: Still like the Boho decor and the friendly welcome.
