"Anticipated Elegance: A Disheartening Culinary Affair with Neglectful Ambiance"
I entered your establishment with a glimmer of anticipation, only to be met with an unsettling silence that hung in the air like a heavy fog. The lack of a simple greeting left me perplexed, as the server's gaze bore into us with an intensity that veered uncomfortably close to the inappropriate. A courteous acknowledgment would have sufficed, a mere gesture to bridge the gap between customer and server.
The ambiance of the restaurant did little to elevate the experience; a pervasive dimness enveloped the space, and the tables, unfortunately, bore the marks of neglect. A clean and inviting environment is the bare minimum one expects, and the unkempt state of the cutlery only served to compound my disappointment.
The culinary aspect, ostensibly the heart of any dining establishment, presented a dismal tableau. The chicken curry with rice and lamb curry with rice arrived, and the first foray into the meal left an indelible mark of distaste. It pains me to articulate the sheer unpleasantness of the experience, with words such as repugnant, vile, and nauseating merely scratching the surface of the gastronomic debacle that unfolded.
In the face of this culinary calamity, the only semblance of redemption lay in the drinks. A fortunate circumstance, considering the pervasive gloom that surrounded us. However, one cannot help but wonder if the relative success of the beverages was a mere stroke of luck, given the evident lack of finesse in other aspects of the dining affair.
As for the server, his disposition mirrored the overall ambiance – morose and disinterested. A simple smile or a modicum of warmth would have gone a long way in salvaging the experience. I implore the owner to consider the profound impact of staff demeanor on the patrons' overall perception.
In conclusion, my visit to your establishment was an exercise in culinary dismay and customer service apathy. It is my sincere hope that this critique serves as a catalyst for introspection and improvement, for the sake of the patrons who seek a more refined dining experience.
Guy who served us was really nice, he was patient with us and helped us select our dishes, as for the food it is great, theres vegan options they had a variety of meats and spicy levels, great find.

I visited this place a couple weeks ago, and from the getgo, I regret coming to this place. The customer service was not good, and the owner was not friendly. The food was of very poor quality, and there are some serious hygiene issues. I worry about the personal hygiene of the owner and the potential contamination of food regarding his inability to wash his hands/ wear gloves when handling the food. When the owner wasn’t serving customers, he would be tapping away at his phone constantly before and after serving. The overall attitude of the owner was very unprofessional and careless.
One thing I noticed was the food was at room temperature and that he would heat the food in the microwave. I suffered from very bad food poisoning after eating at this place, was rushed to the hospital by an ambulance, and was in A&E all night. Would not recommend at all. The food was not tasty at all and was overpriced for what it was. The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant was not appealing at all and outdated.
furthermore I was apprehensive to post this review as the responses from the owner on other reviews seem very unprofessional but posting this to make people aware of my horrible experience. Do not recommend at all!! I can’t believe this place has been running for over 20 years, definitely needs to be checked by food hygiene standards again.
- I don't understand why I would fabricate something like this. I forgot the specific date that I visited this establishment, thus I said a couple weeks ago. The use of spoons and tongs doesn't take away from the fact the food wasn't properly reheated and correctly covered(improper food handling). I found your response very unhelpful and dismissive of many other issues I've seen in your establishment. From many other reviews seen under your'restaurant', it's clear to me that you don't care about the health and safety of your customers. Learn how to take criticism and not be so defensive. This is concerning, shocking, and really shows who you are as a person and reflects poorly on your business. I was rushed to the hospital after consuming your food.
Not bad and the owner is nice but very small portions for a £12 meal and not as good as a take away place, as the food is microwaved. And take cash, as this place is like all others around here, preferring you pay in cash.
No, I came all the way from the US in anticipation of sampling your cuisine and was quite disappointed that you were closed till November 20. Enjoy your holiday. Till next time.
The man working was so kind. He chatted with us and remembered us a few days later. Food was very good and a great price. Portions were great for dinner.

This is a fantastic place - love it! I used to go regularly when I lived around the corner. I was delighted to see it still open (14 years later) when I went back there last night. I’ve only ever had the takeaways, but the food is as delicious as ever, and amazing value too. The proprietor is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!
