Went to this pharmacy at 6pm on a Sunday. They'd been sent a prescription for my baby by NHS111, and were able to give it to me within 5 minutes of me arriving. There were also other customers being served at the same time, so it wasn't as though it wasn't busy. Both staff members were calm and polite. Given the day and time, I hadn't expected anywhere to be open, let alone somewhere so close that could help me so quickly.
I really appreciate this pharmacy with its long hours and helpful staff. At the time when I visit I often have a lot on my mind and don’t manage a smile and body language indicating positivity. Now I want to take the opportunity to do so here! ????
If there was a way to give it less than one star, I honestly would. It all honesty do not visit this pharmacy. As someone who works in a pharmacy, the attitude and service from the staff who works here doesn’t meet the health and social care standard of the NHS.
The pharmacist on duty, Mrs Valerie O Esievo with the registration number 2055748, refused to do an electronic prescription which was sent via NHS 111. Her reason to refuse was due to the fact that they were closing in half an hour and she had CD’s to enter into the proscript system. This is NOT a valid reason to refuse to do a prescription. She said she was working since 12pm but again, before booking this shift and even becoming a pharmacist in the first place, there are responsibilities and duties which have to be met. This is one of them. Before closing time, you cannot refuse to do a prescription as this is part of the quality care given. Care that is effective, safe and provides as positive an experience as possible. I was threatened that my prescription will not be done if I continued speaking about what I knew about pharmacy. And she also shouted saying “you are possing me off” and making fun of the fact that I knew the system (which I do as I have spent years in pharmacies). I will be complaining v and writing a formal statement to NHS on her name in any way possible. And I will open up my court case to take legal action to do anything for her licence to be taken away from her. As someone who has been through domestic abuse both physically and mentally, I felt very threatened and had a panic attack after my experience. Please don’t let pharmacists like this book shifts or work in your pharmacy as regular pharmacist.

I wrote this review during one of my very standard 20-minute waits for anything to happen while visiting the pharmacy. Painfully slow service; granted the pharmacists themselves are usually helpful once you speak to them and the opening hours are more accommodating than most pharmacies.
Hard to get them via phone call needs to improve. More for people that r not able to get to the pharmacy. ( elderly) but there is a few people in there that is really helpfull .need some changes for calls But part from thst it's kool. I have a good relationship with them in there and if u do need some extra help thay can help if u ask
They are improving the service as before was really bad medicine waiting time is 30 mints. But it’s much better now.
The WORST Pharmacy in Croydon, they NEVER answer their phone. My mum's prescription is not always correct and they fail to make sure that all medications, are delivered.
My advice find another chemist that has the time for its customers as they NEVER have time for the customers who attend their shop.
Absolutely terrible service
This is the worst pharmacy I have ever come across in my life. I'm so surprised they haven't been pulled up on operating standards. I chose this as a temporary pharmacy to have my elderly father's repeat prescriptions sent to whilst our local Boots was having a refurb. Biggest mistake I ever made. No one ever picks up the phone. The GP practice tried to get hold of them about an urgent issue - no response on phone or email. I decided I'd have to go down there. On arrival the staff all saw me waiting and ignored me. The Pharmacist who dealt with me was not helpful or empathetic whatsoever. I asked if they had a phone that worked to which she mumbled about something else and completely ignored my question. She totally disregarded what I'd said about this being urgent. DO NOT USE this pharmacy. Thankfully my local Boots has re-opened and what a total and utter difference - so helpful, friendly and they pick up the phone at all times. I see it now and would never ever use a local independent again. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
