Popped in as my wife was desperately hungry and we were just passing. Shared a small fish and chips in car park. Lovely light batter, plenty of meat for a small fish. Staff helpful and friendly, you never like a quiet chip shop do you? But plenty of banter here. If you are anywhere near here do pop in and give yourself a treat. Those of us who think it's worth travelling a bit to be sure of decent fish and chips, well this is the shop to travel to!! Reasonable prices, even a seafood basket for only a fiver, particularly if you like sqid.

New owners that certainly know how to cook fish!! Amazing crispy batter and succulent meaty fish cooked to perfection. Now my new local chippy..

Of course, I'm always grateful for a gluten free option! Happy coeliac when I find a nice place for fish and chips. The staff were lovely, very friendly and accommodating. I had gluten free fish and chips (see photo), it was a bit on the pale side and didn't taste like it had been battered much but like I say, I'm still grateful for an option. In my honest opinion, it was a bit dearer than I would usually spend (about £20 for 3 meals and 3 cans of pop) but a good stop for if you're on the go and needing a meal. They also cater for vegetarians and are knowledgeable about cross-contamination so these are huge plus signs for me. Had to knock a star off for the slightly soggy, pale fish and chips though.

Each order is cooked when the order is made so fish and chips are fresh and piping hot. Huge portions- we ordered 2 medium fish and one portion of chips to share. I should definitely have ordered the small fish- I had to give a large chunk to our ever grateful dogs! It was beautiful- lovely, crisp batter, really tasty! As for the chips, if what I had was half a portion, a full portion would have been just too much!!!

Best chips I've had in ages, chunky chips, not soggy and the curry sauce is excellent. Nice friendly staff

I queried the portion of chips we received and was told that it was a medium portion ish! On returning home these were cold and not very nice to eat - these were the last ones out as they were waiting for more chips no coordination re chips and fish as fish would have had to wait then this would be cold SORRY WILL NOT BE GOING AGAIN after the cost too expensive mistake !!! ????????????

Really nice fish and chips! Not the usual covered in grease and fish that's mush. These fish and chips are quality and clearly fresh! Very tasty and nice premises with clean facilities. The proprietor was welcoming and friendly.

Good-sized portions and card payments taken. The kids portions are a good size too.
