It was my first time at the bakery but I will definitely give them a visit again. The staff were very helpful and obliging cos my boyfriend wanted something they had got but they gave him a replacement which he was more than happy with. ???? the owner of the bakery went out of his way to help me. We will definitely be coming back again soon. Excellent customer service and excellent food. It's definitely worth a visit if you haven't been before.
Little local bakery with a great range of baked stuff. Particular fan of the Cheese and Potato Pie, but everything is worth a try. Look out for the coffee choux bun, enough to feed a family of four, but meant to be for one. Can get very busy with lots of queueing outside, but worth the effort. Take home some frozen pies for enjoyment at your leisure.
Went for a couple of pies. All seemed ok until I got inside. One way in one way out, great. Customers wearing masks, great. But then the staff are handling food and taking money with no gloves. Would have been better if a member of staff took payment while others served. Or even use tongs when handling the food. Given the current situation this put me off. I did buy the pies (meat and potato) but put them in the bin when I got home. However, I did cut into them before hand and they did look rather nice.... Gutted I couldn't try them.
Can't thank Croft Bakery enough for the fantastic cake they made for my Mum and Dad's Diamond Wedding Anniversary. It was a surprise for them and they were both thrilled to pieces with it. Excellent cake and excellent service. Highly recommend Croft Bakery to everyone. Thanks again for making their day extra special x
Happened across this bakery shop as we were going for a walk around Brickcroft nature reserve, Longton.
Lovely helpful friendly staff.
The biggest range of bakery products that you could wish for. I had a salad and my husband had cheese, onion and coleslaw on a 1/2 fresh stick. Both freshly prepared and gorgeous. Hot and cold drinks were available. We both enjoyed a lovely cup of tea.
Really impressed with the safety procedures. Obviously as it's a shop you need to wear a face covering. Only 2 people allowed in at a time. Barriers and floor markings to maintain social distancing. One way in and one way out. Outdoor seating available.
Another customer recommended the jam slice, there was so much to choose from that I will save that for another visit. We will definitely be returning, both to Croft bakery and the reserve. We had a really lovely trip out.
Slow service - agree - and conversation behind counter whilst serving / holding the pies - hurry up please!!
Greasy bottomed pies, dry and again fairly tasteless
Cakes look fab, but aren't - often burnt on the bottom and seem to lack any sweetness - most odd
Prices - go to booths where you'll get a family sized pie for the same price - oh and a free coffee :-)
Sorry, but do better.
Fantastic independent bakery. Everything I have bought from this place has been extremely nice, tasty and fresh. For a small place it has a very good selection of pies, sandwiches,, cakes and freshly baked bread.
Oh my word.....this bakery is to die for!!! Full, traditional bakery... they make all their own pies, bread....everything and their pies are to die for (apart from the butter pie)!!!! The butter pie didn't have potatoes cooked in the butter. They give you 2 butter portions to put in them to each of the pies which doesn't make it have the traditional taste of butter......not impressed about that as my favourite pie is a butter pie but to end back on a high note again....all the other pies were excellent from the homemade pastry to the homemade fillings and the freshly baked in store bread products....can't reccomend this place high enough (apart from the butter pie).
