We've been wanting to grab food here since we moved to the area but not had an opportunity until this evening. The recommendations were definitely accurate - the food was incredible!! We had one portion of Calamari with Fries and Half Lobster in garlic butter with Fries the flavours were sensational so fresh and packed with yumminess. The owner was so friendly and service excellent, so much more from the menu yet to try - it changes based on what catches of the day have been made.
Great food; we had garlic langoustines, a scallop and bacon roll and shared some
Fishy fries.
All well cooked and the seafood all tasted very fresh.
One thing to keep in mind - it is very popular (we queued for quite a while on a freezing January day) - but it was worth it.
Recommended by someone who'd visited here and was not disappointed! Scallops were to die for and the prawn burger was just incredible. Super friendly service, paid by card and gorgeous location near the beach. Couldn't ask for more. Highly recommend.
Freshly cooked seafood at great value.
The lobster was cooked to perfection with a light yet rich garlic butter sauce. The fries were seasoned well with great crunch and worked well soaking up the sauce.
Highly recommend the scallops with garlic butter toast. The scallops were sweet, juicy and possibly the biggest scallops I've had in the UK at such a bargain price! The bread was perfectly toasted with crunch and the right crispiness.
Arrive early to avoid disappointment as the place does fill up quickly at noon and some dishes do sell out quickly if you come later in the afternoon.
Tables and benches available for casual "al-fresco" dining. On a good day you can even see Bamburgh Castle in the backdrop. Once filled up it's a short walk away from Bamburgh beach to burn off the calories!
Parking is £4 for the day.
Great little trailer for a lunch break. Fresh and exceptionally great value. We had Half a Lobster in Garlic Butter and Fries (Alien & Chips!). So good was the food we also had a Scallop and Bacon roll. Could have eaten everything on the menu! Simple food. Cooked with love I love how the chef was also thinking green. No plastics used in packaging or utensils. He clearly cares about his food. A great find Brilliant!
All of the pleasantries of a fancy fish restaurant without any pretenciousness, combined with the convenience of a food truck nestled in a one of a kind location (Bamburgh Castle).
The gentleman who served us was very friendly and polite.
Wish I lived closer!
Excellent food, superb view but has become troubled by its own success! The wait for food was a bit crazy at lunch time, and the guy running it just got more and more annoyed at this! There is a ‘pager’ system for orders, so despite the 40 min wait, we just went and played cricket on the car park grass! Then relaxed with some very excellent, non-pretentious seafood. The fishy chips are superb, as is the sweet chilli and prawn burger, and the monkfish and chorizo wrap. Actually, it’s all lovely. It’s not cheap though; probably worth it.
Lovely seafood at Alnwick brewery, the scallops were amazing
