Best KPortal Reviews
Lovely pub. Remote but walkable into Skipton via a public path followed by housing estate. Would be helpful if more buses during set months. Not everyone has a car or access to one. The rooms were lovely with no faff TV remote to turn on TV and easy shower where a dial was turned for cool or hot shower. Very hospitable staff. I enjoyed my stay immensely.
Visited for lunch and with it being a Sunday had the Carvery. Beautiful food. Apart from the meat you get as much as you want from vegetables and potatoes.
Took a while to get someone's attention to order desserts but when we got them they were lovely. Think it was because they were getting a bit busier by this point.
Great location - although nice weather certainly helped today.
Stayed one night with breakfast included. Amazing value. Room was clean with cosy duvet and pillows. Loads of parking space with a lovely view.
Breakfast in the morning was superb with a great cooked veggie choice. Service was excellent.
Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a base to explore the Dales etc..
Stayed here on Saturday for the night. We were in room 5 triple which is ground floor at the back of the building. The room suited us as it was quite private and apart from the gale force winds in the middle of the night fairly quiet. The beds were comfortable, bathroom and shower adequate and the room nice and warm.
The bar was not overly busy and had plenty tables and spacious seating. The staff were friendly and looked after their customers bringing drinks to the tables rather than have people waiting at the bar.
We enjoyed the breakfast which was a help yourself continental or cooked breakfast with freshly made tea, coffee and fruit juices etc.
I’m not usually one for leaving reviews but was surprised by some of the negative comments left previously by guests here. I thought the Craven Heifer and its staff were fantastic and we really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back soon.
Unfortunately this is closing down. Restaurant closed, no hot breakfast only cereal and toast. Staff lovely given the circumstances.
We booked 3 months ago but the landlords of the property gave the business owners a weeks notice of closing. They did their very best to look after us given the circumstances. A great shame as it is a beautiful area and is a lovely building but needs a bit of maintenance.
Stayed here as a motorhome stopover. Good selection of drinks in the bar and excellent value food. Easy walk into the bustling market town. We will definitely be back, looking forward to another meal there
We found this lovely place while looking for somewhere to eat. We had the pies, they were fantastic, everything was homemade. The staff are really friendly too, it had a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely go again. Couldn't comment about the rooms as we didn't stay.
The bar staff were very friendly and the Sunday carvery was nice. It's dog friendly and you can stay in the car park for free if dining. I would recommend.
