Excellent service. I just took my electric car here for its MOT and everyone I talked to was friendly and accommodating. They let me drop my car off in my lunch break and pick it up after work, sending me a text when it was done. Excellent price and they were able to give me the info of a local business who could fix my dent. Would certainly recommend and will continue to use this garage in the future.
First of all my son works here and that should have no relevance on to my car taking preference over anyone/thing else. (I'm a customer at the end of the day.)
Had my car booked in for mot at 1pm-130pm today so dropped car off in the morning. Waited all day for call to say vehicle was done text my son to ask any news he then rang and said my car had not been touched went and picked car and my son up and they had all left.
From the initial phonecall to driving away the repaired vehicle, my experience with Crackley Garage has been very positive. I told them roughly what the problem was and we arranged a time and date for me to bring the car in. It wasn't for a few days because they were very busy, but that was fine. I dropped the car off and they said they'd inspect the car and let me know what the problem was. I received a phonecall a bit later that morning. They told me what the problem was and how much it would cost to repair it. The price was very reasonable and significantly cheaper than another garage in Kenilworth had quoted for the same job. They said the part would probably arrive the next day and they'd let me know when it was done. When I picked it up, they explained that some of the other components may need replacing soon, but that they're fine for now. I was impressed that they didn't try to push me into having work done that wasn't necessary. Unfortunately, later that day the same problem occurred. I was worried that something else had failed and would need replacing. I phoned them again and arranged to take the car back in. I dropped the car off again, but a little later than agreed. I didn't hear anything from them that day or the next so I phoned to see what was happening. I was told the car was being inspected at the time and someone would be in touch. I didn't hear anything until late afternoon the next day when I received a phonecall telling me the car was ready for collection. The guy explained to me that the replacement part had failed and needed replacing again, and that they'd used a different manufacturer this time. He said that there would be no charge for the work. I picked up the car that afternoon and, so far, everything seems fine. I am very pleased with the service I've received and the very reasonable price. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is that they didn't call me when it went in the second time to let me know what needed to be done. I think it's because they assumed I knew it was the same part again, so I'm not that bothered. I will definitely be using them again.
Needed Mot at short notice, and was fitted in despite their busy schedule. Fortunately only two item’s caused failure, but they were able to fit the parts required the next day. Brilliant ! Even better was the fair price charged. Glad I found this garage, will be visiting again with three cars in the family to be serviced.
AVOID THIS GARAGE AT ALL COSTS,!!! Recently visited Crackley Garage for an MOT on my Citroen car.
My car did fail the MOT on wishbone bushes etc so I authorised for both sides to be replaced at a cost of over £360 which was not a problem and safety comes first in my eyes.... however Crackley Garage even charged me an EXTRA FEE for laser wheel alignment which should have been all withing the cost from the start.
Speaking with one of the staff/owners name James on the breakdown of the MOT failure. He seemed rather abrupt and somewhat arrogant on the telephone, therefore, I was not impressed and passed the call onto my husband who certainly would not put up James arrogance as I did.
Yes he maybe busy or even stressed, but we are paying customers and he needs to restrain his attitude and realise without customers his business will fail. He explained to my husband that my car had failed the Mot not just the bushes/wishbones etc but also 2 x mis-spaced number plates and also an advisory for a simple sat-nav holder in the lower centre of the screen which could have been simply removed by anyone.
Just to confirm that the two original number plates that where already fitted to the car for more than eight years and have passed eight previous MoT inspections with no FAILS or ADVISORY...... Crackley Garage failed the MOT because they did not meet their over the top money grabbing requirement. On collection of the car my husband checked the original plates which are standard size, colour and lettering....compared to the Crackley Garage new plates, there is EXACTLY (10 mm) different space against the new plates (numbers on the left to the letters to the right) and we feel that it did not warrant an MOT failure. We also feel that garages like Crackley Garage are finding ways to make extra revenue for not real just cause and will not pass your car MOT until you pay the price which just makes them more profit and winds up the customer overall... SHAME ON YOU!!.
Would I use Crackley Garage again NO, I just don't trust them.
Incredibly happy with our choice of garage as we are fairly new to Kenilworth. We had an MOT, unfortunately it failed on some coil springs and Crackley fixed it and passed the MOT with no worries. Very happy with friendly quick service and even lower cost than initially quoted. Wonderful 5 star
