Best KPortal Reviews

Visited 14/03/2024. Definitely closed at the moment, though I have no idea about the business itself.
Unclear why they haven't adjusted Google info to show Downend Rd premises are closed.
I had the best meat and vegetable pasty today I have ever eaten……. Wonderful shortcrust pastry and packed with meat and perfectly seasoned vegetables!
A little gem of a place on my door step and the staff are so friendly too
I will be coming back for more……
I go here very frequently. They have very friendly staff, brilliant freshly made bread and a good range of breakfast treats. They cut your bread perfectly! Their buns and cakes aren't so good as they have normally sat around for some time but everything else is amazing. Would definitely recommend if you are local to the area!
Wonderful bread. Cakes are a bit average (have tried all of them! And feel like they could be from a chain bakery) The lardy cake can be absolutely phenomenal but since lockdown it's not as sticky and gooey which is a shame. Still worth a visit for a flat tin loaf!
Fantastic bakery, friendly and helpful team. Really tasty bread and cakes. The have produced every week high quality tasty rolls for the football club I'm involved with every week. Cannot rate them highly enough
A novel place. Quality sausage bap and chorizo pasty was excellent. Docked a star as the latte was made too hot; I scolded myself when I tried to drink it.
Disappointing.
I went in out of curiosity and because reviews looked good. It was just after 10am on a weekday, the vast majority of the bread shelves were empty, and the choice of pastries was very thin.
I bought 2 “Viennese sandwiches” type of biscuits as I would have felt rude to leave without buying something - set me back £4.80, which I felt was a bit steep... The feeling of disappointment only increased as the pastries did not taste nice at all; texture was off, the cream tasteless and the chocolate cover tasted stale.
But the final blow for me was to not find “basics” like croissants, pains au chocolat, or even just plaits or any kind of danish in a bakery mid-morning
Excellent homemade bread, cakes, buns and more. Service is very good. A wonderful local bakery. We enjoy their sourdough and GI bread as well as their flapjacks and brownies.
