I’d rate this Hike as difficult.
Absolutely stunning views to be had all the way through the walk.
Parking right in front of the start in car park for Campsie Waterfalls.
Starts off with a steep ascent which does level out for a short period, but it’s very much up and then down for 4/5 hills until you reach the Trig stone.
After initial ascent the going starts to get very boggy, and I done this on a dry day so I would not attempt it,personally,if it was raining.
Great to test Stamina and Endurance I enjoyed the challenge of this one.
I definitely Underestimated it.
Great Hike.
I walked from the car park in Clachan of Campsie. The recent dry weather meant that the wet and boggy conditions that often prevail on this route were much reduced. The views across Glasgow and central Scotlandonce you are on the high rolling moorland are fantastic.
I extended the walk to Leckett Hill- this portion of the route is rougher and can be very boggy indeed, but it was very dry. The path here is indistinct and the going can be rough, but this allows a circular route back to the Crow Road car park with only the final kilometre on the road.
Wet and windy on that day, boggy under foot. At least the car park was free. Still did enjoy it.
Good hike. Steep to climb up but easy going thereafter, from the approach at Lennoxtown car park side.
Good walk, which can be quite boggy when wet. I don't know what the mountaineering course part is all about.
Beautiful scenery only thing to complain is no bins so please take your rubbish home thank you ☺
Nice view. Sharp climb reduces foot traffic nicely
Fab day walking 3or4th time and will be back
