A twenty five minute wait when only two people in the shop. Chips were dry and VERY brown as was the fish, it left you with the distinct impression that they were left over from lunchtime. Truly the worst I’ve ever had. I’ll stick to Bideford in future. Extremely disappointed as it was our favourite fish and chip shop.
Went in for coffee and bacon roll with a friend and it was lovely! the staff were really friendly, the atmosphere is lovely, the coffee is good. Will be returning soon! Thank you!
Looking for fish and chips we saw this place on our travels and gave it a go. Absolutely lovely. The fish was moist and white with crispy batter. The chips and curry sauce were just as good. A large lot and curry sauce for under £10....fantastic!

This place is absolutely filthy. Flies over the cakes, absolutely no meat content in their pasties. The apron the owner was wearing was filthy. This place needs closing down & a deep clean. Also need’s environmental health to pay them a visit as I think they would close it down. Avoid at all costs. It’s a shame as it always had a good reputation.
What a lovely experience. Thanks Nick and the team. We arrived after closing time but they opened the door and cooked our food from fresh. Lovely food. Great portions and great value. Stopped off on the way back from Widemouth on Friday. Best fish and chips I have had in years. Cooked fresh, lovely tender fish and proper chips. The three boys loved them. Really friendly staff too. This is the only place for us next time we are back in the area. Brilliant.
My wife and myself have just had a very tasty roast beef lunch. Just like real home cooking and well worth the reasonable price. A lovely little country cafe, clean and tidy and made even more enjoyable by the owners ( Nick & Tara ) and the rest of the friendly and obliging staff. In addition you can get some of the best bread and cakes in the area, baked on the premises. Well worth a visit.
