Best KPortal Reviews

I was very dubious about ordering from here having read the reviews but I was too tired to drive back to Filey.
Well, what a surprise ! The fish was beautifully white and the batter was crisp and light without being over cooked. The chips were plentiful and well cooked. I had peas too and they were just the right consistency so they didn’t fall out in a lump but poured onto the chips.
I really enjoyed the meal, it was delicious. They’re quite expensive but it was a huge portion and well worth the money.
Only chips!
Walked in to be told they only have chips because they close at 9pm. I queried that it was only 8:45, but wasn’t offered any other explanation. Pretty poor customer service, I feel that if the place shuts at 9pm, that should be when they stop serving, not when they walk out the door.
Save ur time, money & disappointment
Never in my life have I ever been sold frozen chips from a chip shop, the chips were absolutely tasteless. I reckon I could have clubbed someone to death with the battered sausage it was that old and hard.
Frozen chips from a 'chippy'? (and I think fish as well based on small size and shape of it), really?? what's going on? What a let down!!!
Slow service, disorganized, we ordered first but they gave chips to other people who ordered after us, they didn't tell us the kids meal comes with a drink. The chips where half cold and half warm, some of the chips where hard and tasted raw still, the fish batter was burnt and tasted horrible. Sausages where gross and tasted weird, plain and cold. Waste of £60 and an unhappy family food wise.
Disgraceful, this is the worst place I have eaten from…
Definitely made out to be way better then it actually is…
Fresh fish locally… not a chance way more batter the fish and the chips are terrible…
Staff rather have fun then serve whilst using fowl language…..
Big mistake going there…
Just close it down
Beautiful fish and chips tasted nice and fresh, a bit pricey but again it's on a holiday park so it is expected. The service was great and the store was clean and inviting.
Sorry for any spelling mistakes
I suggest going to the other restaurants around the area better options then this disappointment of a fish and chips shop.
Why it was bad here some points.
1. The food tasted like they didn’t change the frying oil?
2. How much there changed for the food was not worth the portion size
3. Portion size
4. The fish is so small you could barely call that a fish
If you want fish and chips go to Scarborough or Whitby or anywhere else lol
