For management, checking this review on security cameras, 4 Men walked into your empty, damp/mould smelling pub around 16:10 on Thurs. May 27th.
We asked the single, unkempt, staff member if there were 0% beers for sale.
(One of us does not drink alcohol; the other 3 do…. )
Your employee said “No mate, this is a pub”.
We walked out & bought our next 3 (£17-18ish) rounds in the Phoenix, which was staffed by professionals in the hospitality sector, not, as we found your disappointing establishment, a customer service dilettante.
We will need to be made aware of a change ownership &/or management before we (i) return & (ii) refrain from giving negative verbal reviews.
We went to a baby shower here. We were in the back room, it was dark and dingy and the seating was damp. Wouldn't want to go back here in a hurry
Nice, quaint little pub, good prices, good selection of drinks, but slightly weird vibe. You couldn't really have a private conversation, everyone I was sort of in our business and listening. Music wasn't loud enough, I feel like. I guess it's good if you're a local and fancy a chat with some random old people. Not good if ur younger or on a date.
Had a 50th birthday party for my husband and it was brilliant, awesome venue.
Bartender asked for ID, gave my I'd. He then asked name and d.o.b which I gave. He then asked for my star sign which I didn't know so he kicked me out. I'm 24 with a beard mind you. Awful experience and will not go back
Bar staff need training. Asked for a coke, girl started pulling pint of cors, then asked for vodka and tonic she didn't ask me how much tonic I wanted I just stopped her filling glass to the top. Tables were not very clean very sticky and empty glasses left . We could see they had been busy with a party but when we went in it was dead so they could have cleaned tables.
A nice friendly pub with pool and darts also a jukebox. Friendly staff and customers. A pleasant cozy atmosphere here.
Great atmosphere, very welcoming. Definitely going back.????
