Completed the Snowdon climb, and the facilities at the bottom were closed. Owner accommodated us and allowed us to pray as well. Really hospitable and nice place.
I don't usually leave bad reviews but this place needs it.
The boy serving behind the counter was very pleasant and told us there would be a wait for food. He said it would be about 20 minutes.
50 minutes later a lack lustre microwaved bowl of soup arrived with a bog standard sandwich. What they were doing for that long is anyone's guess.
I might add this was a quiet ish Monday lunchtime, not a busy weekend day.
Stopped by at the weekend. Lovely place to stop, lovely views over the lake and UNESCO quarry. Its own carp park as well. Great selection of food, cakes etc. Found he staff to be pleasant.
Really lovely place ...very friendly service. Girl serving us on Sunday 9.10.22 morning very helpful and answered all our questions. Thank you for nice time ????????
I've been 4 times and failed to be served on the last 3. I won't be back. On the most recent occasion I was kept waiting for service for 15 minutes to then be told no I couldn't get a coffee as they were closing. They eventually closed 15 minutes later. The previous 2 occasions no I couldn't have a coffee without food, but they weren't serving food. Figure that out.
Probably not a fair representation, but we dropped by for some tea in a rainy afternoon. The gentleman helping us said something about them not usually being open at this time. There were no cakes or pastries, so we just had tea and hot chocolate.
Good quality coffee and cakes ,reasonably priced,coffee shop is in the same building as craft and souvenir shop,toilets and small car park for customers.well worth a look around and a cuppa.
Disorganised setup with poor value for money food. Staff seemed overwhelmed when taking orders. For payment by card you need to go into the adjoining gift shop to pay for your food and then return to the cafe for the order to acknowledged and processed. When the orders came out of the kitchen they were out of sequence; providing drinks and food separately and some same order items going to people in other parties who arrived later. To top it all there was an argument going on in the kitchen at one stage. The chaos caused some people to finish their drinks before the correct food items were delivered, and overall the lunch stop was extended longer than we had intended.
